Bloody Encounter

Astrid's POV

Running my tongue along my dry lips, my throat felt sore as those bastards haven't given me any liquid since I was taken in this filthy vampire smelling dungeon.

It was complete darkness in here and I have no idea if it was still daytime or night. I've been locked up for hours, I've lost count. I've been weaker since I haven't been drinking blood and I'm still trying to recover from my last fight with Carlos. The bite marks in my skin are still in there and I've accepted the fact that they will never heal and I have to live with it for the rest of my life.

Yeah, for the rest of my life which I don't think is a long period. Mukha yatang sa kamay ng council na ako mamamaray. But I won't die without a fight, I promise myself that.

I sat on the cold floor, wrapping my arms around my legs and resting my head above my knees, I kept waiting for what it is to come. Probably for them to take me next. The place is surrounded with a deafening silence only harsh and soft breathings can be heard as Ophelia's smiling face flashed into my memory.

Even if it's just for a brief moment, I was sure she looked like Sarah. Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali, kamukha nga ni Ophelia ang matalik kong kaibigan. It's been hundred of years since I've last seen her face and they just f*cking took her away. I wanted to protest but the smile on her face said it was okay. I guess Ophelia and Sarah both had the same soft heart that I admired the most, opposite to my fiery once's.

Si Sarah ay parang kabaliktaran ko, mahinhin, mabait at tahimik. Sa kabilang banda, ako naman ay maingay at palaban. Pero ganon' pa man ay nagkakasundo kami. She always had words of wisdom to tell me. She's always been so thoughtful. Everyone in the village is fond of her and I love her. But she's been long gone.

My thoughts were ruined when the doors from the main entrance of the dungeon opened, revealing three figures. One with a very powerful presence that made other vampires squirm in fright. Tumayo ako at lakas loob na hinarap sila ng tumigil sila sa harap ng selda ko.

Sabi na nga ba at pamilyar ang presensiyang nararamdaman ko. Nanlisik ang mga mata ko nang makita kung sino ang kasama ng dalawang gwardya kanina.

"I missed you terribly." Giovanni Terrel greeted me with a smug look.

"Well, you never once crossed my mind." I spat.

"As much as you are enjoying your stay in our dungeon, I'll have to take you." He grinned and gestured for the guards to open my cell.

The guards dragged me out of my cell when Giovanni pushed one of them, sending the poor vampire on the floor.

"Don't touch her." Utos ni Giovanni na agad namang sinunod ng mga gwardya.

The glare in my face remained as Giovanni gestured me on the way.

"This way." He said with a smile gesturing with his left hand and started walking, the two guards followed close behind us.

Habang naglalakad kami palabas ay nadadaanan namin ang iba pang mga selda. I had a small glimpse of the vampires in each cells, all of them were in the corners trying to stay hidden in the darkness, afraid of another pureblood.

The light from the open door was too bright which was blinding my sight. Probably because I haven't seen light for hours. After a few moments, my eyes adjusted and to my surprise, I was greeted by a wide room which was painted in white and was filled with light. So this is where the light's coming from. It was very opposite from the room we just came from.

Napansin ko ang pagkakahawig ng kwartong ito sa mga blood banks. Kulay puti rin ang paligid at may tila reception area din sa gitna kung saan may isang babaeng bampira ang naka-upo. Lumapit si Giovanni dito at kulang nalang ay tumakbo palayo ang babaeng bampira sa takot.
