Astrid's POV

I'm planning to visit Teresa today. It had been a long time since I've last seen her and I miss her so much. Sana nga lang ay hindi siya nagtatampo dahil matagal ko siyang hindi nadalaw.
I wore a simple tights, printed t-shirt, black cap and a pair of snickers. I didn't bother wearing something elegant and sexy. I'm not going out to seduce vampires, just visiting a friend.

Alex studied my outfit and gave me an approving look before leaving the house opposite to his daily reaction to my choice of clothing. He always scowls or will try to make me change into something less revealing but of course I never let him boss me around. Choosing my clothes is the only freedom I have and enjoyed, I'm not going to let him control me on that matter.

Kagaya ng lagi kong ginagawa nuon, pumunta muna akong grocery para bilhan siya ng mga prutas at mga kailangan niya saka dumeretsyo sa bahay nito na kung saan mag-isa lang siyang nakatira. I wanted her to live with me but she refused. Despite that charming personality, she is also very prideful. Pinipilit ko pa nga siyang tanggapin ang mga binibigay ko.

There will come a day where she is going to leave me like everyone lese. That is one of the reasons why I hate being a vampire. I've seen people enjoy their youth until they grow old. Ang iba nga sa kanila ay hindi na nakaka-abot sa pagtanda. Minsan na rin akong naging kagaya nila, minsan ko narin naranasan ang normal na buhay. And I like it better to be a human than hating the person I've become. There was a little girl, I enjoyed watching her laugh, giggle with her siblings then the next day, she wasn't there. I heard she died because of leukemia at an early age. I know she was sick but I didn't expect her death to be so sudden. For me, it's better to stop existing than seeing people suffer and die.

"Astrid!! You're alive!" Sigaw ni Teresa na tumayo mula sa wheelchair nito at masaya akong niyakap kahit na nahihirapan na siyang tumayo.

I laughed not being able to return the hug because I'm holding grocery bags on both hands.

"Namiss kita! Saan ka ba nagpunta at ilang buwan mo din akong hindi binisita? Akala ko tuloy na-high blood ka na sa mga dugong sinipsip mo. Anong nangyari sayo?" Non-stop na tanong nito.

"Worse than having high blood pressure." Sagot ko at inilapag ang mga groceries sa kusina.

She gave me an expression that says tell me everything.

I took an apple and sliced it to pieces placing it to a plate and gave it to her.

"I was kidnap by a pureblood." Sambit ko at umupo sa sofa.

"Ano?! Kung nakidnap ka bakit ka ngayon andito? Did he let you go?!" Teresa exclaimed. For an 80 years old, she sure is very aggressive.

"Calm down Tere." Sambit ko dahil may sakit siya at ayoko namang atakihin siya sa puso nang dahil sa gulat. "I wasn't exactly kidnapped. Hindi ko alam na pureblood siya at nang ininom ko ang dugo niya, nawalan ako ng malay. And when I regained consciousness he doesn't want to let me go."

"Hindi ba sabi mo sa akin nuon na nakakamatay ang dugo ng isang pureblood? Then why are you still alive?"

"Iyan din ang tanong na tumatakbo sa isip ko. I'm sure he saved me from death but I do not know how. You see, marami siyang special abilities and some of them is really frightening. But going against death? I'm not really sure." Sagot ko.

"Whoa~ You're afraid of him? You were never afraid, Astrid. Nakakatakot nga siguro talaga siya."

"Don't get me started when I tried to ran away and he killed the vampire I've been making out with. The poor vampire exploded in front of me and he did it all with his freaking mind!!"
