Alexander's POV

Breathing harshly, I finally arrived at an old manor where Griselda lived. The manor looked abandoned as Griselda have never stepped foot outside her home for centuries. She's an old pureblood who had been alive longer than anyone I know. Griselda is the only hope I have to get Astrid back. Griselda is hard to please but I will do anything just to have Astrid back.

Pagpasok ko sa lumang bahay nito ay sumalubong sa akin ang salas na wala man lang laman na kahit na anong kasangkapan. Madilim ang paligid at puno ng mga sapot ang dingding at kisame nito. Tumungo ako sa ikalawang palapag ng bahay kung saan nanggagaling ang presensiya ni Damien. Pagpasok ako ay tumambad sa akin ang mukha ni Damien na tila ba naginhawaan sa pagdating ko.

In a victorian queen sized bed is where Astrid laid, her skin was so much paler than before indicating that she has no life with her anynore. I sat beside her in the bed and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. Her skin was cold against my fingers and I clenched my fist when I saw the bite marks in her skin once again. I wanted to go back and kill Giovanni but I wanted him to suffer.

"We will be together soon, my princess." I whispered and placed a soft kiss on her forehead

"Brother, let's not do this again. Hindi mo pwedeng gawin ito sa tuwing nasa bingit siya ng kamatayan." Sambit ni Damien na tila ba nagmamaka-awa na huwag ko nang ituloy ang binabalak ko. Pero kahit na tumututol siya sa akin ay sumunod parin siya sa inutos kong dalhin ang katawan ni Astrid dito.

"This time it's different. I'm not saving her because of conscience, but now she's gone and I'm saving her because I love her." I replied not taking my eyes off Astrid.

"Masyadong delikado. You can't guarantee that you will live long."

"I don't care. I have to bring her back."

"You can't sacrifice your-"

"I've made my decision. I want to be with her. If you are going to stop me then I have to follow her. I'd better die than live without her."

Astrid had been my saving grace. Hindi niya alam ngunit matagal ko na siyang mahal. Hindi man niya ako natatandaan but the memory of her is still fresh in my mind and heart. She's my first and everlasting love.

I remember everything. She was only six when I first met her and even at a young age she was lovely. It was over two hundred years ago and I still remember it very clearly.

Year 1786

It was sunset and the sun was so beautiful along with the wide fields of flowers. I couldn't help but admire the beautiful scenery in front of me. There were children, all humans playing around and laughing at each other while each of them pick their own flowers. I couldn't help but admire each of them. They looked so happy and free like they doesn't care about the rest of the world.

I'm kind of jealous of them. Sometimes I wonder how it felt to be a human. Being a pureblood have a lot of advantages but it was hard. People would try to kill you, there is always a threat for your life and everyone is fake and greedy with power.

I had been zoning out when I heard a girly chuckle beside me. It was little girl, probably six years old with flower crown in her head and freshly cut flowers in her right hand. She was smiling while she look at me in awe.

"You looked so sad, sir." She said, her blue eyes, studying me. She was so small I had to slightly crouch to meet her eyes.
