Tatlong araw na rin ang nakalipas nang mahanap ko si Elise. At tatlong araw na din siyang sinusuyo ni Leon. Nakakasawa na nga ang pagmumuka niya dahil lagi siya dito sa pamamahay ni Alex at kung hindi lang dahil kay Elise ay hindi ko papayagang makapasok ito dito.

Hindi parin ito kinikibo ni Elise dahil ako lang naman ang kinaka-usap nito. Si Alex naman ay pinili nang wag maki-alam sa kanilang dalawa gaya ng paki-usap nito sa akin. Pero paanong hindi ako mangingi-alam gayong napalapit na rin sa akin si Elise na hindi parin sanay sa bagong lakas nito.

She's still not used to drinking blood, and sometimes, she forgets to control her strength leading to broken things which she tried to apologize over and over again. Some of the slaves that she used to work with are distant to her, afraid that Leon will try to kill them if they do something to Elise. Well, they should be afraid, dahil hindi lang si Leon ang kikitil sa mga buhay nila, baka ako na mismo ang gumawa nito.

Gaya ng mga nakaraang araw ay malamang nandito nanaman si Leon upang paamuhing muli si Elise while Alex is working at the company. Gusto ko sanang sumama dito pero hindi ko naman maiwan si Elise. Andito nga si Damien but I don't trust him enough to be able to protect Elise from Leon.

"Astrid, please give us time alone. I wanted to talk with her, just the two of us." Leon pleaded beside me. "And you too." He added, referring to Damien who was casually sitting on the other couch across us.

I'm currently sitting in between the two, Leon on my right while Elise sat on my left. I'm like a barrier between them but I prefer it this way. "You wish. Pumayag na nga akong maka-usap mo siya but I will never leave her alone with you."

"Sorry, bro but I'm on Astrid's side today. Although this is oddly familiar and it brought back some memories from long time ago." Damien said with a hidden meaning behind that smirk which I'm not interested in while Leon only gave him a glare.

"You only have fifteen minutes left before I ask you to leave the mansion so you better start apologizing now. Don't mind me and Damien just start talking." I said reminding him as I check the watch on my wrist and crossed my legs.

I felt him about to argue but he sighed and focused his attention on Elise who had been silent like she's always been.

"Elise, I've missed you." Leon said starting his talk and it might be a little awkward with me in between them but I'll live with it and he must endure it. "Handa akong humingi ng tawad kahit na ilang beses pa at hindi ako mapapagod na suyuin ka mapatawad mo lang ako. Once again, I'm sorry, hindi ko sinasadya."

I couldn't help but huff and roll my eyes. "Pshh... hindi daw sinasadya."

Napatigil si Leon at tinignan ako ng masama ngunit tinaasan ko lamang siya ng kilay. I know, I can be an annoying bitch sometimes but most if the time, it's in a good way.

"Astrid, let the guy talk." Damien said and sipped his glass of blood.

"Fine, continue." I said gesturing him to resume whatever lie he's about to say.

"It's been—" Naputol ang sasabihin ni Leon nang sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nagsalita si Elise sa harap ni Leon.

"Astrid." Sambit nito sa pangalan ko.

"Yes?" Baling ko sa kaliwa ko.

Elise looked up at me with innocent hopeful eyes and said, "I—I'd like to be alone with Leon, please..."

I was taken a back at her request and I had to ask her again just to make sure. "Sigurado ka ba? Are you ready to talk to him now?"

"Yes." She said giving me an assuring smile and I felt Leon's happiness beside me.
