Chapter 23 - dont lie to me!

Jai's POV

Me skip and Luke has just got back from going out, skip was staying the night.

I wanted to check that Ellie was okay, i guessed that she would be with Beau in his room, it was really late. I went in there to find her asleep on Beau, he was on his laptop.

"Hey man" I whispered.

"Hey bro" he answered.

"Is she okay" I asked.

"Yea, she's fine" Beau reassured me, he closed his laptop and got up out of his bed.

"Good" I said.

I went into the lounge and Beau followed behind me.

Beau went into the kitchen, probably to get food and I went into my room. I sat down on my bed for a minute, I got my phone out as I got it out my back pocket I saw a cigarette on my pillow. What the hell! I don't smoke and I know Luke and Beau don't, unless there not telling me. Mum is the only one who smokes but she keeps them in her room away from us. Wait, Ellie wouldn't smoke would she? She was the only one in my bed today!

I walked out my room and into the kitchen where Beau was.

"Hey beau!" I called.

"What" he said.

"This was in my bed" I said, holding up the cigarette.

"Yea, a cigarette" he said, as if it was obvious.

"Beau, Ellie was the only one in there" I said.

"What" he huffed.

"Beau, it might not be her but she was the only one" I explained.

"If it's her she's dead" beau said, he grabbed the cigarette out my hand and starting walking to his room where Ellie was.

"Beau stop" I said, I grabbed his arm, he turned around to face me.

"Don't be too harsh on her" I said.

He grunted, he carried on walking to his room, it was like 11pm, I followed close behind.

He stormed into his room, Ellie was fast asleep.

"Hey El up now" he said, he had raised his voice in a father like tone.

She slowly opened her eyes and gave Beau a confused look, I was watching cautiously from the doorway.

Ellie's POV

As I opened my eyes I saw Beau standing over me and he looked mad, Jai was in the doorway.

"What's this?" Beau shouted holding up the cigarette.

Shit! Oh no I can't lie to Beau, I'm going to have to play dumb.

"Umm..uhh...a cigarette" I muttered, I sat up in Beaus bed.

"Yea we know but why was it in my bed" Jai said stepping forward, it must of fallen out of my pocket when I was in there earlier.

I didn't say anything I simply shrugged my shoulders, I think they could tell I was lying.

"You were the only one in there today" Beau said.
