Chapter 29- waking up

Luke's POV

James and skip has gone, it was 9pm and it was only me, mum, Beau and Jai at the hospital.

I was sat in the chair next to Ellie's bed holding her hand, Jai was sat in the other one also holding her hand.

Her hands were cold, I shut my eyes and laid back in the chair because everyone else was asleep or pretending to be.

Ellie's POV

I was going in and out of dreams, yet I could feel everyone around me. I had heard Luke trying to convince Jai to go home, yet he wouldn't budge. I literally had no energy, I wanted to open my eyes, I used all my strength and the light can't flooding in, I blinked a few times and I saw that Jai and Luke were either side of me clutching my hands like there life depended on it.

It all started to come back to me, how I had fallen out of the tree and hit my head pretty hard. I vaguely remember Jai running up to me, but that's it. I saw mum at beau, they were sitting in chairs, both asleep, so we're the twins.

I decided to try and move my hand, I stated at the hand that Luke was holding and stared at it, I tried to move my finger. I twitched it a bit but it wouldn't move fully. I tried Jai's, I managed to move my whole hand.

Jai eyes peeled open, he looked up and saw me, at first he looked shocked, then he looked relieved that I was awake.

"ELLIE" he yelled in happiness as he got up off of his chair and hugged me.

This woke Luke up.

"El your awake" Luke exclaimed.

I could slowly feel myself waking up, I smiled up at them, I was gaining movement of my body.

"I'll get a doctor" Luke said as he rushed off.

Mum and Beau slowly woke up and realised what was going on.

Jai pulled away from me and Beau came over to me.

"Baby girl I was so worried" Beau said as he hugged me.

I tried to move my arm to hug him back but I hurt.

"Ouch" I moaned.

"Don't try and move, you had a big fall" mum said as she also walked over.

Beau let go of me and mum came and gave me a kiss in the head and stroked my hair.

"I'm so relieved your okay, how do you feel?" she said.

"It's painful to move" I mumbled, it was all coming back to me how I had had that fight with Beau and run off and then fallen out of the tree.

"I was so worried" Jai said, he sat back down and held my hand.

"Jai you saved my life" I told him, it was true, if he hadn't of found me who knows what would have happened.

He didn't say anything he just smiled and squeezed onto my hand.

Luke came back in a while later followed by a doctor.

"Ahh Ellie Brooks" he said as he looked at his clipboard.

I didn't say anything.

"You were in a mild coma, you've got a few sprains and a lot of bruises" he explained.

I nodded, I wasn't exactly happy about that, it could have been worse I suppose.

"You had a big hit to the head, could you tell me exactly what happened?" He asked.
