Chapter 27 - the accident

Ellie's POV

I was still up the tree, I think I had been here for quite a while, it was starting to get dark. I forgot my phone when I left so I had no way of seeing what the time was.

Half of me wanted to go back but half of me wouldn't let myself because I wanted to prove a point.

Jai's POV

I was getting dark outside and Ellie still wasn't home.

"I'm going to call her" I told Luke as I got my phone out, I found her contact and called her, I heard a ringtone coming from Ellie's room. I ran in there and found she had left her phone here.

I was starting to get really worried about her, I decided to go out and look for her.

"Hey Luke, she left her phone here, I'm going to look for her" I said.

"Okay bro, good luck" he said.

Ellie's POV

I decided to just go home, there's only so much you can do up a tree, also it was getting very cold.

I started to climb down the tree, I couldn't see what I was doing because it was really dark. Suddenly my foot slipped, I tried to grab the branch above me but I failed. Before I knew it I was on the ground, my whole body was in pain. I tried to get up but I couldn't, everything just hurt too much.

I started to cry, loudly, almost hoping that someone would hear me. After a while I gave up, I didn't want to use up all my energy.

I regretted not bringing my phone now, I needed it. I just want my mum and my brothers to come and rescue me and take me home.

Every minute seemed like an hour, the pain was getting worse as time went on. I couldn't feel my body anymore, I couldn't move at all.

I heard footsteps coming towards me, I started to panic, they were getting faster, they turned into a run. My breath picked up and I started to feel myself sweat.

"Ellie" I heard someone yell, my pulse was racing, I body clenched up in suspense.

Suddenly someone knelt down beside me, I screamed at the top of my lungs in fear.

"Ssshhh it's me Jai" the person assured me.

I relaxed as soon as I knew it was him,  I started crying even harder.

"What happened baby girl?" Jai asked.

I tried to get my words out but I just made me cry even harder, suddenly everything went black.

Jai's POV

I ran over to Ellie, she was laid on the ground. When I got to her she let out a really loud scream.

"Ssshhh it's me Jai" I said, as I took her hand.

She started to cry harder she was obviously in pain, "what happened baby girl?" I asked her, I was starting to panic.

All of a sudden she blacked out.

I quickly got my phone out and called Beau because he had a car, we needed to get Ellie to the hospital, he picked up straight away.
