Ellie's POV

*2 days later*

I have been thinking a lot lately, I randomly had a dream about my dad, I mean I don't even know my dad. I want to though, I have started to wonder about him, nobody's ever told me about him and I don't know why.

It was currently 6am, I couldn't sleep, my thoughts kept me awake. I was going to try and work up the courage to talk to one of the boys about it. I was thinking I could ask Jai about him, but he always gets really defensive about how he hates his dad, and Luke, well it would probably annoy him, he's similar to Jai, he makes jokes about how they don't have a dad all the time, they all do. That leaves Beau, I guess he would remember more, well if anything.

I drifted in and out of sleep until 9am, then I decided to just go for it and ask Beau, to get it off my mind.

Chelsey didn't stay last night so I just walked straight into his room.

He was laid in bed on his phone.

"Beau" I said.

"Yeah" he answered.

"Can we talk?" I asked.

"Sure bubs" he said as he moved over.

I went over to him and got under the covers as he waited for me to start.

"W-well I was wondering about my d-dad" my voice going quiet towards the end.

Beau sighed, he looked shocked to be honest.

"What brought this on?" He asked simply.

Beaus POV

"It's just, you boys always joke about your dad and I know nothing about mine, I want to though, do you remember him?" She said hopefully.

There was a reason we never spoke about this stuff with her, I guess I had to tell her the truth.

I sighed, "come here" I said as I put my arm round her.

She moved closer to me and leant against me.

"Please just tell me beau" she said sadly.

"Well, us boys dad was violent, dangerous even, he walked out when Luke and Jai where babies" I started.

"Okay, what about mine" she said wanting to get to the point.

"I only met him once or twice, I don't remember much but basically when he found out mum was pregnant he left" I said slowly and honestly, feeling bad for having to tell her.

"Oh" she said quietly.

"He seemed pretty useless, leaving mum like that" I added.

"I just wanted to know, I mean I look kinda different to you guys" she explained.

"You look like us, just more beautiful, you don't need a dad" I assured her.

"I just thought maybe one day, idk, like uno" she sighed.

"To me anyway, we don't have dads, that's why we are full brother and sister not half" I explained.

"Okay thanks Beau" she said leaning on me.

"Don't mention this to Luke and Jai, yeah? I think they feel really strongly about it deep down" I told her.

"Okay" she agreed
