Thankfully, the trip was short. Shea becoming tenser the longer we spent trapped in the enclosed space. As soon as the car stopped he shot from the seat beside me, leaving the car door wide open.
Tentatively, I moved to the edge of my seat before a hand wrapped around my wrist. My head snapped back to find Zach's worried face looking back at me.
'Where are you going?' He asked, glancing at the two men in front who were both climbing down from their seats. Their doors slamming loudly before it was just Zach and I who remained.
'I need to speak with someone,' I answered cryptically, tugging my wrist free and sliding down from my seat.
'Leora, wait,' he called, sliding out behind me and gripping my shoulders tightly. He quickly spun me to face him, his eyes darting to the intimidating house at my back before they settle on mine again. 'What's going on?'
'It's nothing, I just...' I trailed off, uncertain of how to explain my current predicament.
'Who are you going to speak with?'
'Just a...friend.'
'A friend?' He asked skeptically. I could sense movement behind me and I knew the men were growing impatient. 'These men don't look very friendly.'
'I'm fine Zach,' I promised, shrugging his hands from my shoulders and taking several steps away from him. 'Just wait here until I come back.'
'Wait here?' He scoffed. 'You aren't going in there alone.'
'Zach,' I sighed. 'Just...stay.'
'Leora-' He was cut off by Shea who gripped his collar before throwing him back in the car and locking him inside.
'Was that necessary?' I demanded, making a move to free him but a hand was instantly wrapped around one of my wrists.
'The alpha is waiting,' blondie grunted, shoving me in the direction of the white steps which lead to the house. I threw one more look at a struggling Zach before I allowed myself to be led inside.
Silently, the two remaining men led me down a corridor lined with photos of a happy family. Familiar faces smiled at me from the photos, carefree and very much alive. Nothing like the men I had seen lain bare on the forest floor in front of Colby's house all those weeks ago.
A stab of pain shot through me before I cast my eyes down to the worn wooden floors. The house felt cold and lonely. Even without being here before I knew the house had become nothing but a shell of its former home.
Suddenly, we came to a stop outside a thick, wooden door. A quiet voice seeping through the cracks before blondie raised his hand and knocked loudly.
'Come in,' the voice said before blondie threw the door open, shoving me inside. My eyes were instantly drawn to the boy in a man's chair. His form dwarfed by the towering leather and made to look even smaller behind the overwhelmingly large desk. His greens eyes found mine, amusement filling them as he watched me.
'Luna,' he nodded, before he got to his feet and started to move around the desk. I felt the two men beside me tense before the hulking man beside me blurted,
'Luna? Alpha, she never-'
'I don't imagine she would have,' Alpha Jayden chuckled, coming to a stop in front of me, his scrawny arms held in front of him, loosely. 'I'd wager you didn't want anyone to know who you are or whom you are running from.'
'I wasn't running anywhere this time,' I answered halfheartedly as Jayden's smile widened.
'Yet my men have found you in my territory with a human no less. Does he even know what we are?'

Werewolf'So,' I started, unsure of how to approach this new Colby. 'Are you letting me go?' 'No,' he growled and I watched as his eyes darkened, but they didn't turn charcoal and I could tell he was more in control than he ever had been before. 'You can nev...
