Chapter Twenty-Two

 Chapter Twenty-Two:

 I forced my eyes open, sitting up instantly

 “Buddy slow down” Jasper stopped me from getting up. Francis and Ryan were also in the room

 “What is this, Why are you all here?” I asked calmly

 “What the hell happened back there?” Jasper questioned

 “He told me to stay away from Kayla. He challenged me and I accepted” I explained, I didn’t beat the shit out of him for no reason

 “Okay that’s reasonable, at least he can’t take you to court unless he lies and says you forced yourself on him. Or provoked him someway” Francis thought to himself out loud

 “Lets just hope it doesn’t happen” Jasper told Francis

 “Yeah that would delay our plans” Ryan added

 “At least we know your tough” Jasper punched me in the arm lightly

 “Shut up” I waved him off

 “Since when were you too good for us?” Jasper raised an eyebrow

 “Since now” I replied

 “Whatever” Jasper got up from off my bed

 “How long was I out?’ I asked

 “Two days” Francis answered

 I cursed, “You have to be kidding”

 “Unfortunately were not” Ryan frowned

 “I don’t see why you couldn’t have taken a different approach instead of drugging me” I complained as I got up, my legs still weak

 “Well that’s all we could think of instead of chocking you until you pass out” Jasper shrugged

 I headed for the door with a little help from the wall “Oh and Kayla visited you yesterday, she doesn’t even know that jerk” Ryan added

 “Thanks” I left the room heading home, I should take her out today after all I promised her a date. Maybe I should try to put it off as best I can. I should just man up.

 I walked in the door “Hey” Hayden greeted me “I dropped Warwick of to school while you were gone”

 “Thanks Hayden I really appreciate it” I told him

 “What the hell was that guy thinking” Hayden then cursed under his breath

 “What?” I asked him

 “Look what he did to you, you were going so well then you go back to where you were before” Hayden explained

 “Yeah well shit happens” I laughed with no humour

 “I guess it does” Hayden said in deep thought

 “You don’t need to worry, I haven’t snapped like before” I reassured him

 “I sure hope so” Hayden still continued in his deep thought

 “Anyway I'm taking Kayla out” I told him

 “Good idea. I also heard about what your doing in a couple of months, that little ‘trip” Hayden said

 “Are you going to look after him?” I asked

 “With my life” Hayden answered

 “Good” I praised him

 I went into my room to call Kayla. She picked up on the first ring that was quick
