Chapter Thirty:

I sat at the table rubbing my eyes. A bucket of water was poured onto my face because I wouldn’t wake up

“I know you don’t want to go Logan but its illegal if you don’t” Jasper smiled “Straight after you have to train my pack, make sure you do a good job”

“I think he will do just fine” Hayley looked at her mate “You do think so, don’t you Jasper?”

“Of course, I want what’s best for my pack and all of my brothers agreed to this. I'm just scared when he moves on from here, especially knowing my brothers” Jasper looked down “I mean if they can hurt me then they can hurt Logan, I don’t think Peter would have been too happy about that, nor his mother”

“I know Jasper but lets give your brothers the benefit of the doubt” Hayley said while looking at my face that had a shocked look on it

“Do you remember the last time we gave them the ‘benefit of the doubt’ Hayley, they burnt down half of our town and we had to rebuild for months” Jasper stated calmly

“I know, but its not as if Logan really has a choice, as long as he does his job then no harm will come to him” Hayley looked over as if to reassure me

“You guys don’t need to worry about me, I can take care of myself” I looked over at Jasper, he seemed pretty concerned but I am neither his burden nor his responsibility.

“Alright” Jasper said unconvincingly “Just watch yourself when you go over to other packs”

“I just got here and your worried about that” I laughed before getting out of the chair when I saw Yuki “Anyway I guess I have to get going to ‘school’ that I have finished long ago”

“I guess you are classed as a drop out here, we have different rules and you need to follow those, I need to set an example to my pack that I don’t let some people slide and not abide by those, so I guess I'm sorry about that” Jasper smiled, he seemed to think that me going to school is funny

I sighed “Oh and don’t leave school, they check attendance every class and if your not there well… you don’t want to find out” Jasper told me just before I left to leave

“My sisters go to school at a later time and finish the same time as me” Yuki informed me

“Right, they treat me like a kid here. I have already finished school” I complained looking down at the ground

“Yeah well its just different here, here your not classed as an adult yet. Even those that mate still stay in school as well so there really is not exception, my dad made that very clear” Yuki looked over at me, just as I lifted my head up

“Your not going to wag class, are you?” she asked me suspiciously

“Of course not” but the truth was, it was on my mind. I really wanted to just skip class and train everyone at night-time. I mean where is sleep going to come in on all of this?

I followed Yuki all the way to a giant bricked building that looked to be three stories high and had smaller sections coming out of the main building. I walked in through the school gates intrigued.

 “This is exceptional” I observed

“Its certainly that” Yuki agreed, “I remember the first time I came here, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. My father and his men certainly did a good job”

“I'm surprised Jasper came up with this, he doesn’t seem like the type that would create something so spectacular” I said

“What are you trying to say?” Yuki asked me, punching me in the arm “Nah its alright” she laughed, the serious face that she was holding on her face instantly disappeared as quickly as it came.
