Chapter Twenty-Nine
“Hurry up Logan” Koran called me from outside the plane "We don't have all day"
“Yeah, I'm coming” I shouted back “idiot” I muttered
“What was that?” Koran shouted back
“Nothing” I replied. I knew he hear me prefectly fine. I went down the stairs of the plane onto the runway
“Alright lets go Logan” Jasper signalled me to follow
“See you brother” Koran half hugged Jasper “And Logan” he nodded to me before going back into the plane
“I’ll show you were you are staying, then I'll introduce you to my squad that you will be training, train them how ever you like but don’t go over board on the punishments either” Jasper explained as we made our way into the forest "They get the point rather quickly"
“I guess your pack lives in the forest then, do you have housing?” I asked Jasper “Or are you more down with the earth?”
“We live in shelters that we make, all of the houses are made out of wood, and we also make all of the glass and other things. We had the material to make all of it so my pack and I thought it would be a great idea to use the resources we have without taking too much, we also replant anything we have taken, and don’t take a considerable amount to mess up the ecosystem” Jasper explained
“Wow, that sounds great. I'm looking forward to seeing this place myself, do you have any livestock, or animals?” I asked him out of curiosity.
“Yes we have livestock, we had to import those in, obviously but now we have wool, butter, milk, chicken and beef. Excuse me if I forgot anything else but those are the most important things” Jasper cleared a pathway for me to get down the mountain covered in slippery moss.
I looked around admiring the place, the rivers were pristine so you could see through the water and look at all of the lovely fish. The trees were meters high, as if they were touching the sky.
“This place, is majestic” I said
“It sure is” Jasper smiled “I do hope you like all we have made. Only Koran has ever been here. I don’t want my brothers ruining anything here. We have spent too long with much hard work for it to crumble” Jasper sighed "And you know how they are"
“I guess my other uncles aren’t all that nice?” I asked Jasper
“Yeah, you can say that I guess” Jasper replied, it seemed like they were worse than ‘aren’t that nice’. I’ll have to watch myself when I go to my other uncle’s packs.
“Do you have medicine and bandages, things like that?” I asked him
“Yeah we have all of that, we are careful when we make it. We aren’t under developed; we do have labs and hospitals. The best doctors actually come from here because everyone loves school here” Jasper boasted, I didn’t mind, he had a great reason to.
“You actually got your pack to enjoy school, I applaud you for that” I praised Jasper
“Well we don’t do traditional teaching here” Jasper hinted, “We just do more practical things as opposed to handing out worksheets. We give more assignments for them to finish in a couple of weeks along with some practical and exams are every month so we like to keep them remembering everything. You’ll see what I mean”
We came to an opening that revealed everything. I gasped as I saw the packs town they created. All of the homes made out of wood, which was shaved so all of the bark was off of them. Everyone and I mean everyone had livestock. In the middle there was a town square where someone was playing a guitar for tips. There were markets in the town square, on the outside of the paved area in which people can preform and come together as a community. The hospital was huge, made with huge glass windows and framed with wood to keep the glass sturdy. The labs were connected to the hospital built with just wood and a couple of windows to let natural light in.
