I throw on a black and white chevron tank top and a pair of hot pink shorts and put my hair up into a bun. “So how much did you all catch?” I ask calmly taking a seat next to Michael on the couch. It feels so good to be clean. “We caught from the second verse of teenage dream.” Luke finally confessed. “You were actually pretty good you know.” He adds. “Ha ha real funny Luke” I say sarcastically. “No he’s right, you were pretty good.” Michael says. “Coming from the mouths that sing like angels” I say not believing them. I don’t even sing. “No really. You should do a cover with us sometime.” Luke says. “Not a chance. I don’t sing for people. You guys just got lucky.” I say with a bit of an attitude. “Suit yourself, but it’s a shame to see talent wasted.” Calum says bringing the conversation to an end. “So where is my big mac?” I ask. I am starved. “Right over there on the counter” Michael says pointing to the kitchen counter. I skip over to the counter and see my meal sitting there. I ravenously devour the first half of the burger before I feel eyes on the back of my head. “Hungry much?” Calum asks laughing. I nod my head and he laughs some more. “We were thinking about hiking up the waterfall. Are you cool with that?” he asks me. I take a sip of diet coke and swallow everything down. “Yeah sure. Is it like major hiking, because I’m not really the best hiker?” I ask before cramming a few French fries into my mouth. “Nah, you should be fine, but the biggest thing is that it will be slippery considering we will be in the waterfall.” Calum explains. “So do I need to change into my swimsuit?” I ask. “Yeah you probably should.” He recommends. I finish my meal and head to the bathroom to change. I swear I was just in here changing.

I slip off the outfit I am currently wearing and trade it for my pink string bikini with ruffles on it. I slip on my plain black flip flops and I throw back on my tank top over my bikini. “Ready Freddie?” Michael says before throwing me over his shoulder. “Michael!” I say laughing. He carried me like that out of the house and spun around in the yard. “Michael put me down!” I say still laughing. He gently sets me on the ground and I fall over anyway from all the spinning. “Now my butt is all dirty.” I complain while standing up. Michael gives me a sarcastic puppy dog face and I just roll my eyes. We walk for a little while before reaching the river with the waterfall. Luke grabs me by my waist and swings me over the water pretending to throw me in the water before setting me back on the ground. “Not cool Luke” I say once I am safely away from the edge. “Oh gosh Kaylee you should have seen your face.” Luke says before making this girly scream face. “Oh shut up” I say before I punch him in the arm playfully. I slip off my flip flops and tank top before stepping into the water. “Holy crap nuggets! This water is so flipping cold!” I say as my feet freeze off in the water. Then next thing I know all the boys are splashing the freezing water onto my body. We have a little splash fight ending with a four way truce. “Okay are we going to hike this thing or what” Luke finally says. Calum leads the way followed by Michael, then Luke, then me because I’m slow. We hike for about ten minutes and it is hard because the rocks are slippery and you can’t see anything because the water is unclear and constantly moving. I am lagging a little behind so I speed up a little. Then my foot slips on one of the rocks and I feel my body fall backwards and I feel my body bend over backwards and I hear the splash of me landing in the water. Ouch! My leg hurts so bad. I feel tears slip down my face and I try to get up, but my leg hurts too bad. I look up and see Luke there and I grab his hand. “Luke my leg” I say as pain shoots up it. I grimace and Luke waves the other boys over. “Hold still. What happened?” Luke asks me. “I slipped and fell back and hurt my leg.” I say as the pain eats me up. “Cal do you have your phone on you?” Luke asks as Calum and Michael make their way over to me. “No it’s at the end of the waterfall with all the rest of our stuff.” He says coming over to me. “Go back quickly and call your mom. We are going to have to take her to the emergency room. Be careful though.” Luke says to Calum as he makes his way back down the waterfall. “Here Michael help me carry her back down so we can get her in the car.” Luke says helping me up slowly. Luke takes my left and Michael takes my right and they lift me up and carry me slowly back down the waterfall. “Sorry” I say to the both of them on the trip back down. “No problem. Are you okay? Is it just your leg or is there something else too?” Luke asks. “Mostly just my leg, but I bet I’m bruised up a bit too.” I say as we near the bottom. They load me into Calum’s mom’s car and we all drive off to the emergency room.
