About a month later

I was lying in bed, staring at my phone screen in a miraculous daze. I was video chatting Michael on Skype, we had exchanged accounts a few weeks ago and had been talking nonstop ever since.

We would just talk for hours upon hours, which usually resulted in me falling asleep, but he was always still there waiting when I woke up. Some people might think that's creepy, but I for one think it's adorable.

The only problem was hiding it from Ashton.

Ashton, as you can probably tell, is very protective of me. He absolutely hates when I talk to guys, unless it's him, Luke, or Calum. And he hates it even more when he doesn't know them.

Especially when I met them on Twitter.

To say the least, Ashton would probably flip out, and ban me from talking to Michael. And knowing Ashton, he wouldn't be scared to fly out to Australia and personally kill Michael.

I shuddered at the thought, and pushed Ashton to the back of my mind.

At the moment Michael was playing me a song on his guitar, and I was trying to guess what it is.

I was actually pretty good at it, since we had such similar music taste.

"Okay, new song," he said, his raspy voice was thick and deep. I would never grow tired of just listening to him talk or sing. It was truly a beautiful sound.

I clasped my hands together and rested my chin on top of them, putting on my best concentration face, causing him to laugh lightly.

He effortlessly strummed the first few chords, and within seconds I was clapping my hands together, I knew what he was playing, it was right on the tip of my tongue.

It finally came to me, and I gasped in excitement.

"Hold on Til May by Pierce the Veil!" I called out a little too loudly.

He just laughed, nodding his head in response. "You're so adorable, Evie," he said, causing my heart to leap and my cheeks to turn pink.

Just then, I heard loud footsteps approaching my door. Probably Ashton, he most likely heard me yelling.

Shit.

But Michael and I had already gone through this plenty of times. We had a whole plan, code words and all.

"Chocolate milk party," I whispered quickly. He immediately got the memo and I ended the call.

I threw my phone across the room the second Ashton flung the door open.

He glanced at me, then my phone that was resting on the floor, then back at me, shooting me a questioning glare.

I just shrugged my shoulders, and acted as nonchalant as possible.

"Why were you yelling?" He asked.

I folded my arms, trying to seem casual. "What do you mean?" I questioned, playing dumb.

"I heard you yell, 'Hold on Til May by Pierce the Veil!'" He said, squinting his eyes suspiciously.

Damn that boy has good hearing.

"Oh, um, you know, just trying to get Siri to play it," I lied, quite terribly I must add.

"Oh yeah?" He asked, sassily placing his hand on his hip.

"Yeah," I confirmed, squinting my eyes back at him.

"Then why isn't it playing?"

Oh shit, now what am I supposed to say? I hate lying so much, not to mention, I was awful at it, if you couldn't already tell.
