I let out a soft laugh, trying not to cackle, as my boyfriend, Dan, continued on with another one of his zany stories. We had been dating a few months now, and so far it has been going pretty well. Not that I have any previous relationships to compare things to, but we both seemed pretty happy if you ask me.
"And then she literally peed all over the floor!" He exclaimed through his cackles. I laughed along, even though I literally had no idea what he was talking about, as it was hard to understand what he was saying through his uncontrollable laughter. But his laugh was quite contagious, so I couldn't help but burst into hysterics alongside him.

Just as he was about to continue on with his story, my phone buzzed from under my thigh. I grabbed it and looked at the bright screen, seeing a tweet from one of my most reliable update accounts.

Those things come in so much handy when you're a fangirl, otherwise I would literally have no idea what was happening 99.9% of the time. Well to be honest, I still never really know what's happening, but hey, at least I try.

"Fandom wars 2016 start in 30 minutes, start saving drafts with the hashtag" the tweet read.

Oh shit, this is serious business. Voting is a very meticulous task, and I take things very seriously when it comes to representing my fandoms.

I looked over at Dan, who was still laughing his ass off and telling his confusing story. I had to get rid of him, fast. I mean he was great and all, but I had to vote. My favorite bands were not going to lose again this year.

"Um, Dan.." I began, rubbing his hand that was slung around my shoulders to try and grasp his attention.

His laughing subsided as he looked down at me. "Yea?" He mumbled.

"I um," I wracked my brain for any excuse I could possibly think of, I was pretty terrible at lying so this probably wouldn't end too well, but I couldn't tell him that I was ditching him to vote on Twitter. He would never understand, or maybe he would, I have no idea what he does in his free time.

He was staring at me with an unreadable expression, causing me to realize that I had probably been awkwardly sitting here for awhile.

"I promised Ashton that I would take care of his friend Calum's dog for them tonight while they play their gig" I spluttered, inwardly cringing at my horrible excuse.

To my relief, Dan didn't seem to notice. Either he was pretty stupid, or just didn't really care to know the reason I actually had to leave. Probably the second option.

"Alrighty, I'll be heading out then, see you later babe," he said as he slowly stood up from the couch, stretching his long limbs.

I stood up with him so I could escort him to the door. I at least sometimes made an attempt to be polite. He was my boyfriend after all.

Once we were at the door, he turned to look at me. "Bye" he said with a smile. I smiled back, also uttering a farewell. I decided now would be a good time to lean in for a kiss. Although, little to my surprise, he played it off and avoided the kiss, allowing me to kiss his cheek. Just like always.

I let out a sigh, trying not to let him see the way my cheeks were flaming with embarrassment for the umpteenth time.

I waved until he finally got into his old car. I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief, I ran for my phone and stumbled up the stairs, running into an annoyed looking Ashton.

"Watching Calum's dog for me, eh?" He asked, sending me an unimpressed glare.

"So you were watching us?" I questioned, trying to sass him, but I failed miserably as always.

"Well yeah, I'm not just gonna let my sister be alone with some guy, who knows what you guys could've been doing down there!" He exclaimed, running his hands through his unruly hair.

I rolled my eyes at his stalkerish behavior.

"Ashton, I'm 17, I think I'll be okay. And Dan and I aren't that serious, we haven't even kissed yet."

His eyes widened, and I could tell he was shocked.

This is always what happened when I told people about my slow moving relationship. Who cares? We don't have to rush into anything, yeah we've been together about 4 months, but if we don't want to kiss we don't have to, right?

"It's not a big deal," I muttered, turning my gaze to my fuzzy socks.

He just started to laugh, clutching his stomach.

This caused me to roll my eyes, and try to push past him so I could get to my room, but he stopped me right in my tracks.

"Are you," he wheezed, trying to catch his breath, "telling me," he let out another cackle, "that you haven't even kissed yet?"

"No, we haven't, but it's none of your business anyways." I said, crossing my arms in a sassy manner.

"Hey, I'm not complaining. I don't want that guy making moves on my sister anyways. But seriously Evie? He's a 17 year old boy, are you sure he's not gay?"

I hadn't really considered that before, but he couldn't be gay. If he was, why would he be dating me? Yeah, Ashton is just being stupid. He can't be gay, he's not, he couldn't be..

"No! He's not gay Ashton, we just don't want to rush into anything. Now if you'd excuse me, I would like to get to my room," I said as I shoved past him and quickly entered my bedroom.

Once I was in the safety of my room, or as I like to call it, my sanctuary, I opened Twitter and began the grueling process of saving drafts. At this point, voting only began in 10 minutes, so I didn't have as much time as I had wanted to save some.

Once voting began, I was tweeting random things like crazy. I had almost no followers, so it's not like anyone ever payed attention to my tweets, but at least I was still voting.

It caught my attention when I noticed that I had a decent amount of notifications, that was rare. I decided to go check who they were from, just because I was curious.

It was one person who was just retweeting all of my tweets. I was hoping Kellin Quinn finally noticed me or something, but this was fine too I guess. I clicked on their account so I could follow them back, and the first thing I noticed was their profile picture.

Whoever this was, was freaking gorgeous. He had pale skin, bright red hair, an eyebrow piercing, and greenish blue eyes. This excited me. We would probably never talk but it didn't hurt to have attractive mutuals.

I scrolled down further , and ended up stalking him for awhile. His name was Michael Clifford, he lived in Australia, loved All Time Low, and played the guitar. Yeah, he seemed extremely cool to me, probably way out of my league, and I had to get back to voting, so I exited his profile.

But then I noticed I had yet another notification. A DM, from Michael.

SO here is the first chapter!!! Hope it's not too crappy, it's probably pretty boring, but trust me this book will get exciting in no time. I have lots planned for this book, it might not turn out like I'm planning but hey I'll give it a try. I'm gonna try to update either every day, or every other day, until the book really gets going, but idk I get lazy so we'll see how that works out. Anyways, if you're actually reading this, thank you bless your soul.
