It was later that night, after everything had gone down.
Ashton was currently out somewhere, probably with Calum and Luke. The boys never really held grudges, they would get in a heated fight and then be over it no more than half an hour later. That's just how their friendship was I guess.
My mom had lectured me about talking to strangers online, apparently Ashton had elaborated everything when my mother talked to him after he had run upstairs.
To say she wasn't happy would be an understatement.
She banned me from talking to him, but I wasn't going to listen, ever. I cared about Michael, and I wasn't going to let my mother stop me from talking to him.
Plus, I was turning 18 in three and a half months. She couldn't boss me around for much longer.
She didn't know his name, or what he looked like either, so how could she prove if I had been talking to him or not?
Feeling rebellious, I opened skype and started a call with Michael.
It rang a few times before he accepted, and it started to connect.
I was quickly met with his shining face. He was lying in bed, his usual spot, and he was wearing a huge sweater. He looked quite cuddly, which caused my heart to melt.
"Took you long enough," he said with a laugh.
"Trust me, shit got real at dinner," I said, laughing alongside him.
His eyes lit up, he had always loved to hear about drama.
"Ooooh tell me everything," he urged, smiling even wider.
I smiled at the goofy boy on the screen. How could one human being be as perfect as he was?
I then told him a very detailed story of everything that had gone down tonight. He looked genuinely interested as I spoke. His expression was thoughtful, and it warmed my heart.
No one had ever listened to me the way he does. He never interrupted, and didn't judge me for anything I told him.
In that moment, I decided I would never let anyone stop me from talking to him. This past month, a lot of drama had gone down, which is new for me. Usually my life had been relatively boring. Before Michael, I was in a terrible relationship with Dan, and all I really did was go to school, and hang out with Ashton, Calum, and Luke.
But now, my life was much more exciting, or at least it felt like it. Michael made me truly happy, and I looked forward to talking to him everyday, I just hope he feels the same.
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if Michael didn't live so far away. If he lived closer, would we end up dating? Would we still just be friends? Would we be enemies? Who knows?
Since he lives on the other side of the world, dating is out of the picture, not that I feel anything romantic for him anyways. We were strictly just friends, great friends, and I wanted things to stay that way.
As I laughed with the boy on my screen, I couldn't help but feel completely and utterly happy, which wasn't always a regular occurrence for me.
Michael's POV (yay)
I stared at the absolutely beautiful girl on my screen. I listened to her addictive voice as she ranted on about what had happened tonight.
I took in the way her eyes burned with anger when she spoke of the fighting that had happened, and the way her cheesy smile lit up her entire face when she spoke of the way I had stood up to Ashton.
