Chapter 10
Bailey's POV
I didn't know what to expect when I walked into Law class on Friday. The past week had been unusual. After Niall had kissed me on the cheek, we've had some sort of awkward distance.
I told Aubrey about our little moment and she was flipping out. She kept on hugging my body and telling me that Niall and I should be together. I had laughed at her comment.
The only other class that I have with Niall is Sociology. His seat isn't near mine, though. It's in the back, while mine is in the middle row. Niall and I haven't said a single word to each other for a couple days. I was getting worried. Did he regret kissing me? It was only on the cheek, how much meaning could that hold? It's the way he stares at me during the two classes we have. Even in the food court where everyone eats, I always spot him looking at me. His eyes look straight into mine and I feel alive. My stomach bursts into butterflies and my cheeks tint with heat.
As I entered the Law classroom, I couldn't help but glance to Niall. He was like a magnet. His head shot up as I walked closer to my desk. Aubrey was already sat there, smiling up at me.
"Hi, Bailey," she chirped.
I said a hello back and placed my books down. I picked up a pen and opened my notebook to get ready for today's lesson. A tap on my shoulder caused me to twist around.
"Hey," Niall warmly spoke in a soft whisper. The warmth ignited in me again.
"Hi," I reciprocated his grin.
Chase sat next to him, giving me a questioning look before winking.

Class ended with the professor giving us a speech. I tried to pay attention, but my mind couldn't stop replaying what happened before class started. Niall had spoken to me again. I smiled just at the thought of it. I wasn't understanding why I was over-reacting about how he said a simple 'Hey' to me. Niall's talked to me before. Part of me wondered if it was because the last time I spoke to him was four days ago. I yearned for his Irish accent to speak my name. My cheeks flushed. I'm going mad.
"Bailey, did you hear me?" Aubrey asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I shot her a puzzling look.
"I said, do you want to come to the party tonight? I heard its going to be amazing. DJ and everything!" She exclaimed while packing up her things.
"Party? Where?" I questioned, getting out of my seat.
"Some off campus house. Tons of people are going to be there."
"I'm not sure..." I trailed off.
"Please?" Aubrey begged. "I really want you to come."
Parties can get wild. People get wasted and crash everything around them. My mother warned me about parties when I first went to college. She told me to never drink while I'm there. Who knows where I'll end up.
"Umm."
"Are you guys going to Andy's party?" Niall spoke up. I turned to face him.
"Yeah, but I'm not sure about her," Aubrey replied.
"Oh, well Bailey you should come. I'll be there and so will Chase," he motions to his friend that's standing by his side. I gulped as Chase eyed me down.
"I-I guess I'll go," I stuttered, turning back to Niall. His face brightened up.
"I'll see you later," He smiled before leaving the room.
My feet padded across the pavement to my next class. The weather today was brutally hot compared to what it's been like for the past few days. Unfortunately, I didn't have any friends that are in the class. I had to walk alone a couple blocks to reach the building.
