Hi everyone! I really hope you enjoy my story :D

It may seem to you that it's kinda stupidish or starting slow in the beginning but I promise you it gets better and more realistic so please keep reading! I like to believe that as a writer, the more you write the more mature your story becomes and I feel that this is exactly what happened to me so please stick by!

Chapter 1 (Bailey's POV)

"Bye, sweetie. Be good, okay? Call whenever you need us. I love you," Mum said, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Love you, too," I softly replied.

Dad gave me a final hug saying, "See you soon, B."

With that, my parents left my dorm room. I sighed, sitting down on my newly made bed. My eyes wandered around the small room. This would be my home for a year. It's very small, but I guess it'll do. I was fortunate enough to get a dorm room all to myself. From the sounds behind the closed door, I could tell that other students were moving in as well.

My dorm building was named Western Hall. It's a boys and girls housing building. I could hear the cheers and mindless conversation flowing between both genders from the comfort of my room.

My body carried me to open cardboard boxes. I took out all of my stuff and organized everything in drawers and on top of my desk.

I then took notice in the small window in the corner of my room. I pulled back the blind and peered out. Many students and teachers roamed the pavement walkway. There was a field in the center with tall trees scattered all around.

Tomorrow I had a free day before classes started on Monday. I settled on checking out the campus. Manchester University may not be as bad as I thought it was.

Just then, an abrupt knock on my door sounded. I walked over, and opened the heavy door. A smiling girl stood on the other side. A binder was held in her hand. She wrote a check mark on the paper before looking up at me.

"Hi! I'm Aubrey, and you must be Bailey."

I nodded before she continued.

"I'm on the welcoming committee here at Manchester University. We hope you have a great time here. If you need anything, let us know!"

I smiled politely. "Thank you. I'll see you around."

Aubrey reciprocated my smile before saying a goodbye and walking away to another dorm room.
