Chapter 13
Bailey's POV
I woke up on Monday morning and immediately got dressed for class. The weather had been miserable all week.
I pulled my skinny jeans on and took a light sweater out of the closet. I put my hair in a bun and grabbed my backpack. As I closed the door behind me, I slipped my phone into my bag.
My feet trailed down the few flight of stairsto reach ground level. As I walk the un-even pavement to Law, my mind wanders back to the day I spent with Niall. We both had a great time at dinner, and then that kiss. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that we kissed. And I enjoyd it.
Aubrey flipped out when I told her. She kept on begging and begging me to reenact the kiss on a pillow. I had laughed at her and ended up playfully chucking the exact pillow to her body. I kept wondering if Niall liked it. He's kissed so many girls that mine was probably just any ordinary kiss. But that wasn't how I felt. It was special to me.
I say a hello to Aubrey as I take my seat. She's always here before me. The professor comes in shortly after and explains that we will be getting a packet filled with different cases. Each one needs to be evaluated and completed before the end of class. Then he tells us that we have assigned partners.
The list is pinned up on the back wall. While we all crowd around the small piece of paper, I pray that I'm not with Chase. I'm not sure why, but he just has this sort of creepy vibe to him. Maybe I'll be lucky and be partnered up with Caleb. He really is a nice boy and sure knows what he's talking about when it comes to Law. I find my name and look to the other side of the dotted line.
Bailey Thomas.....Niall Horan
A small gasp escapes my lips, but I quickly conceal it. My finger drops from the paper as I slowly turn around. I scan the room, trying to find him. Niall's sat at a desk and he's already intently watching me. His hand raises and waves me over. I try to act calm while I follow after him. I hope it won't be awkward, I mean we kissed and now we're partners for an assignment. The chair is pulled out from under the table and I take a seat.
"Hey, Bailey," Niall smiles.
"Hi...So are you ready to start?" I waste no time in small talk.
Niall's face slightly falls, but he nods in agreement. He shifts the paper closer to me so it lies between us. I take out my pen and neatly write my name and Niall's at the top. We read the first the case and begin to think of a conclusion.
"The woman obviously needs to get a restraining order for this guy. If he keeps on knocking at her door and bothering her, she's got to put a stop to it," Niall rambles on about all the things wrong with the made up story.
He takes the pen from me and writes down his answer to the problem. I'm quite surprised with his conclusion. I thought I'd be doing all the work and now I know how stupid that sounds. He writes down the complete answer and looks up at me to smile. I return the gesture and we move to the next question.
With five minutes to spare, Niall and I hand in our finished packet. The professor questionably looks at us before taking it on to his large wooden desk. We walk back to the table and sit down.

Class ends and I head back to Aubrey.
"How was it?" She smirks, knowing I was Niall.
"Good," I say, looking down to my feet.
"Are we still going bowling tonight?" I change the subject.
"Yeah, we can leave at four," Aubrey answers.
We gather our books and leave the building. As we stop on the pavement to wait for the colors of the traffic light to change, my name is called from behind. Both of us spin around to see Niall and another guy walking towards us.
