Chapter 15
Bailey's POV
After the weekend, it was time to go back to classes. I wasn't sure how everyone was going to react with Niall and I being together. It's most likely going to be a shock. We hung out the whole weekend. Just going on small dates to the movies or out to dinner mainly. Even the small gestures of smiling at me, or holding my hand makes me weak inside. I've only known him for a couple of months, yet the way he speaks to me makes it feel like we've been friends since pre-school.
Aubrey found out about our relationship when Niall and I were holding hands after coming from a date. She was with Kyle at the time, and they both ran over to us, Aubrey screaming with glee. They rushed us with a million questions all at once. After we got away from them, Niall whispered to me that Kyle is taking a fancy to Aubrey.
"Told you they'd be cute," I had replied.
I walked into Law with excitement. I was glad to see Niall again. Once the door shut behind me, his face shot up. I warmly smiled and he stood up from his seat, waiting for me to come by. I dropped my books on the desk, turning towards him.
"How's the girlfriend doing?" Niall grins.
"Quite well. How's the boyfriend?" I giggle.
"I'm great, thank you."
Niall leans forward and plants a kiss on my lips. My cheeks flush at the public affection. I can tell some people are looking at us. One of them including Aubrey who is smiling like an idiot while watching us.
"It's rude to stare," I say to her without losing eye contact with Niall.
She whacks my arm, making me chuckle. Niall deeply laughs and sits back down in his seat. I do the same and the professor walks in moments after.
"Good morning everyone," he begins. "I'd like to inform you all that this class will be doing a 'case' in a week or so. Each person will be given a character such as a judge, witness, jury, or attorney. More information will be given out closer to the date."
******
"Class is dismissed."
Everyone stands up to gather their books and supplies. People shuffle noisily to the door. Without thinking, I begin to head towards the exit, completely forgetting about Niall.
"Aren't you going to walk with me?" He teases, causing me to turn back to him.
"Sorry.." I trail off with an embarrassed smile.
"It's fine, babe," he grins, taking my hand in his.
Niall has only called me babe a few times this weekend and I'm still not used to it. He entwines our fingers and we leave the room.
"It's bloody cold," Niall comments as we step out in the open.
I agree, zipping my coat up all of the way. I try to find my gloves, but they aren't in my bag. Either is my hat. It's only November and I feel like I'm in the winter season. Snow should be falling any second. I need something to keep my body heat up. That's when I notice the SnapBack sat on the top of Niall's head. I should just snatch it, but I decide against that.
"Oohhh can I pretty pretty please have your SnapBack?" I beg, taking my hand from his to fold them into a prayer position. His eyes are alight with amusement.
"I don't think so," Niall laughs.
"Pleaseee," I drag out.
He shakes his head, chuckling. "You know, you can be very persuasive," Niall sighs, lifting the hat off of his head.
