Ooooh I feel mean for writing the ending to this chapter.... NO ONE SKIP TO THE END OR I WILL VIRTUALLY SLAP YOU.
Chapter 46
Niall's POV
"Bailey!" I shout over the pounding music. There are so many people in this single room and it's too loud for her to be able to hear me.. or she's ignoring me.
She continues to dance on this damn table. Her hips are swinging back and forth to the rhythm of the song playing and I know multiple pairs of eyes are watching her.
"Bailey!!" I yell louder. This time, she questioningly peers around, trying to spot the person calling her name while continuing to dance. For a third time, I scream out her name and she immediately finds me in the crowd.
I push through the people blocking me from getting her the hell off that table. The smell of alcohol and sweat surrounds me as I whip through a small gap between two people. Finally, I reach the table and Bailey is still looking at me. Her angry and bloodshot eyes never lose contact with my furious ones.
"Get down, Bailey," I harshly demand.
I know she heard me because her features twisted into disgust. However, she chooses to ignore me and instead continues to dance next to these drunks. My jaw tightens as she turns to the guy next to her and trails her two hands slowly and seductively up her body. She's seriously doing this in front of me?!
"Get the fuck down!" I roar, flinging my arms up to try and snatch her. I fail, and Bailey continues to dance.
The dick of a man up on the table snakes his arms around her and lowly rests them on the small of her back. They quickly inch down further until they're resting on her ass. He squeezes and pulls her closer into his body.
My anger has reached boiling point. No one lays a hand on her.
I latch my foot on to a part of the table, which gives me more leverage to reach Bailey. Her back is turned to me and I use that as an advantage. My arm snatches the front of her legs, causing her to tumble back into my other ready arm. Bailey loudly gasps as she falls back into my chest. I hold her closely and steady myself back on the ground. She pushes me away from her once her heels touch the floor.
"Get away from me! Leave me alone!"
Annoyance and frustration overtakes me. Why does she have to be so damn stubborn? She's had far too many drinks and I know her brain never functions properly when she's under the influence of alcohol.
I just wanted her away from that guy. He's still hungrily staring at her and I give him a cold hard glare until finally he looks away.
Bailey shouldn't be acting this way to me, drunk or not.
"You know what? Fine, I will leave you alone."
My feet turn away and I stride towards the door. I'm halfway out when a hand suddenly grabs mine. For a split second, I pray that it's Bailey, but when I turn around I see Beth.
"Are you leaving?" She asks, not letting go of me.
I want to flick her hand off and tell her to go away, but I catch Bailey's glance from the other side of the room and choose to take a different path.
"Um, no," I reply. "No, I'm staying."
"Good! Let's go get you a drink."
Beth guides me through the crowd of sweaty and hormonal college kids. Her hand is cold and rough which surprises me for a girl. They're so different compared to when Bailey holds my hand. Hers are warm and delicate and soft. But I hold Beth's hand for the show. I know Bailey can see us and I hope she gets irritated.
