Chapter 14- There Is Nothing I Do Better Than Revenge
I shrugged off my mom's nervousness and the ominous feeling in my gut, the guests were about to arrive soon, I'd find out what all the fuss was about. If the situation was actually as threatening as mom made it seem, I'll handle it like a pro. Besides, I'm great at handling situations.
I decided not to think too much about it since I was already too tired, I walked towards my room and stepped inside, closing the door behind me.
I opened a drawer and pulled out a pair of sweat-pants and a baggy T-shirt, kicking the drawer shut with my foot. I glanced back at my closet, where all the dresses hung and thought about it for a moment.
Mom would surely throw a fit if she saw me wearing these comfortable clothes, but did I wanted to impress the guests? What if I did? Were they going to marry me or something?
I shrugged and turned around, stepping towards the bathroom to have a shower. Honestly, I was actually considering to shower faster since my mom seemed really nervous earlier.
These guests might be important or something, but I'm just going to take my sweet time. The guests and their importance could wait.

Just as I stepped out of the bathroom, all cleaned up and dressed, the bell rang.
I exited my room and decided to watch some TV, but that's when I heard my mom asking me to get the door. I huffed in annoyance, but went to get the door anyways since she was busy cooking up a storm.
I trudged towards the door, a bored look plastered on my face. I didn't even wanted to try and smile, but just as I was about to open the door I heard my mom's rushed footsteps.
"No, no, wait Jess, I'll get it--" She tried to stop me, but it was too late. I had already opened the door.
My eyebrows shot up in surprise as I saw the family in front of me, grinning. The guy that was around my age, stepped forward and recognition hit me.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "Greg?" I turned to look at my mom who was fidgeting with her apron then turned to look at him again, "What're you doing here?"
I heard my mom gasp, "Jessica!"
Greg chuckled, "It's okay, Mrs. Fisher. I would be surprised too if I was in her place,"
My mom stepped forward, pushing me behind her. She smiled sheepishly, "I'm sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Richardson. Please, come in. My daughter is a bit..."
I stopped listening right then, as my mind registered the name. Richardson. My eyes widened as I watched Greg and his parents step inside the house, but my eyes were focused on Greg.
Gregory Richardson, no way.
Greg noticed my stare and smiled at me nervously as my mom led his parents away to the living room. Whereas I, continued to gape at him. I couldn't believe it.
Gregory, in my house, about to eat my food, prepared by my mom.
He rubbed the back of his neck, "Uh, h-hey, Little J..."
And for the first time ever, a scowled formed on my face as I grabbed him by the collar, "You! How dare you step into my house!" I screamed at him.
He looked seriously frightened, as he held his arms up to defend himself, "Little J, please, let me--"
"Don't call me, Little J!" I growled, "I'm going to kill you!" I released him out of my grip just to look for some kind of weapon. All I found was, a toothpick.
