mistake

Troye's crying. Troye's crying because he's made a mistake. Such a bad mistake and he's falling apart.

He's losing himself and pushing all the wrong people away, hurting his family.

And so Troye's crying. Because he hates himself for it. He hates what he said before and what he thought, because now that someone made him aware of the issue its been drowning him, and the only person he has seemed not to hurt (or maybe he has and the person is just to scared to show it) is Connor.

So Troye calls Connor and he comes over, rubbing his back as he cries and lets him lose all dignity as he falls into self hate.

"Why do I keep doing this?! Why can't I stop screwing up?!" Troye screeches and Connor holds him tightly.

"Everybody makes mistakes Tro."

"Not like I do, I'm messed up." Connor doesn't reply to that because how can you?

How do you tell your best friend that despite their flaws, that you still love them? Because despite his current state Troye doesn't like to talk about his emotions. He doesn't like to be mushy or gushy and so Connor doesn't say what people usually would. Troye wouldn't want that.

He doesn't tell him that he's not messed up because Connors not a liar.

He doesn't tell him that things will get better soon because they won't.

And he doesn't tell him that he's just confused because he's not.

Troye knew exactly what he was doing and what he felt, but he was blind. But sadly that doesn't make anything better.

So Connor just holds his best friend tighter and prays that he sees light and understands that trust isn't granted but earned.

Because Connor will do anything for Troye, fight for him, lie for him, keep his secrets. He'll  love him unconditionally.

Connor only wants the best for the boy who holds a special place in his loving heart.
