When Connor died tragically in a car accident, everyone in the small town of Perth was affected. Tears were shed by all the townsfolk, casseroles were sent to the Frantas front door, and everyone turned up at the funeral.

Everyone except Troye. Now that was more of a shock than when the two came out as dating three years prior.

Troye and Connor were the cutest couple, everyone envied them and could plainly see how desperately in love they were. Connor would do anything for Troye and Troye was Connors biggest fan.

They'd grown up togther, best friends until Connor made a bold move and asked Troye out 8th grade year. Now He's a senior and it's the one year anniversary of the accident. One caused by a drunk driver and a late night trip to the convenience store.

The years leading up to today, the anniversary of Connors death, Troye spent mostly crying. He'd lock himself in his room and sob for hours on end, and it's not until a couple months ago has he been able to walk the halls without breaking down again.

The whole school is weary of him as he walks by, knowing the day and the meaning and the significance to Troye.

He makes his way to his locker, feeling the eyes of all the students on him from all sides. Once he arrives at his destination he quickly enters code and grabs his books.

It's until he's about to close the door back does he see the note that had been shoved into the slits of the lockers door.

Setting his books down gently, Troye grabs and unfolds the note in curiosity.

Dear Troye,

I miss you, I can't wait to see you again my love..

xx Connor

Troyes breathing quickens as he stumbles back against the wall of metal, his eyes watering as he looks around.

No, he thinks as he feels himself about to puke. Just go home, get in your car and go. home.

He does and he's surprised to find his mom isn't at work.

When he comes stumbling through the front door his mom has already embraced him.

"Mom?"

"I took today off in case you couldn't last the whole day. Seems I was right." Troye pulls back and shakily gives her the note, Laurelle guiding them both to the kitchen and sitting him down on a stool.

"What's this?"

"I-I found it in my locker." She opens the paper and gasps, looking up to her tear stricken boy and shaking her head.

"Who would do this?! This is brutal, inhuman, and cruel! I'm going up to your school."

"What?? No! Mom it's fine. I'll survive. It's probably just this one anyway I don't know why they'd do it again." Laurelle looks as if she wants to protest but instead she nods sadly.

"Okay fine. But you're staying home the rest of the day." Troye sighs and tries his hardest to smile.

"Deal. I love you."

"I love you too."

Troyes gets a note again. It's that next Monday, exactly a week later, when he opens his locker to find a piece of paper fall out.

Dear Troye,

You looked ravishing today, I wish I could touch you one last time.

xx Connor

His eyes well up again as he looks around, trying to find anyone who looks like the note writer.
