I slipped my hand into Damon's and squeezed it tight. We were all waiting for Bonnie and Jeremy. We couldn't do this without them, literally. They had Stefan's body. I don't think I could take much more of this nervous anticipation feeling that was going to explode in my stomach. I'd never been this nervous for a funeral before. It wasn't exactly like any other funeral I'd been to, we actually had to bury Stefan. He would be in one of his favorite places for eternity now. A tiny smile spread across my face, Stefan could be peaceful here. Safe. I looked up at Damon, who was looking at the floor. He looked so perfect, his blue eyes glistening, his dark hair caught in the breeze. We all wearing black on this boiling summer day, not the best decision considering black absorbed light. God knows how Damon could bare tow ear that signature black leather jacket of his.
I glanced over at Caroline, she was wearing a beautiful tight lacy black dress that stopped just above her knee. Her hair was perfectly curled like always and the top half of her hair was styled to the back of her head. Caroline looked beautiful, it was so thoughtful how she had gone to all this effort to say ehr last goodbye to Stefan.
"Arg, can Bonnie hurry up?" Caroline complained, stomping her freakishly high heels into the ground.
"Chill out, Care. They'll be here soon." Tyler squeezed her hand, she gazed up at him and nestled her head into the crook of his neck. They were a perfect couple. I felt shy doing that to Damon at the moment, he was so fragile. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he just wanted to go home, he really didn't need this the day after his brother had just died. He also needed everything to go quickly, that included the funeral. I sighed and took my phone out of Damon's jacket pocket and dialed Bonnie's number, only her cute little voice answered her voice mail. 'Hey! This is Bonnie, leave a message!' I sighed again and waiting for the beep, this was the only time I'd ever not enjoyed listening to her voice mail.
"Bon, it's me. Where are you? Please come soon or we'll all have to go home." I demanded, my voice stern. I hung up and handed Damon my phone, he put it back in his pocket.
"We can't just stand here and wait! We are all depressed! I think we should go home, and schedule another day..." Caroline suggested timidly.
"I agree, I don't want to be standing here in the boiling sun wearing a suit." Matt sighed as he loosened the tie around his neck. "Someone call Jeremy, he might answer."
"I'll do it." I volunteered. Damon immediately shipped my phone back out and placed it in the palm of my hand. I dialed Jeremy's number this time, the ring blurted loudly in my ear before going to voice mail. "His phones on, no answer though." I said, keeping my phone to my ear ready to leave a message. "Jer, it's Elena. Call me back, i'm starting to get worried." I hung up, keeping hold of my phone just in case one of them called.
"Okay, let's just go home and keep trying to get a hold of them. I'll try Bonnie's house. They must there." Tyler announced.
"I'll quickly go home and help Ric search, I'll come straight to you after." I told Damon, he nodded. We all headed off back to our cars.
So much for a funeral.

"Bonnie, this is a bad idea. We need to let everyone else know what's happened before we go searching for an emotionless vampire." I complained. I swear to God Bonnie was going crazy, she'd done too much magic lately. It was starting to get to her.
"I know what I'm doing, Jer." She replied simply. I objected and grabbed her arm sternly.
"Bonnie. give me my phone back. I need to call Elena." I told her.
"No, Jeremy. We need to find him before he does any damage..." Bonnie started to say. I interrupted her.
"Look at yourself, Bonnie! Stefan's already done enough damage to you! You need to let people know what's happened before you go prancing around helplessly with a wounded neck!" I shouted, retrieving my phone. I quickly searched for Elena's name and tapped it.
"Jeremy! What's happened? Are you okay?" Elena questioned, she sounded very panicky.
"Elena, I'm fine. It's just... We've had a few issues..."
"Like what?"
"Stefan's back, Bonnie did a spell using my ring. He's not dead, Elena."
"Oh my God... Is that possible?!"
"Of course it is, any way. He's back, but we've lost him."
"I'll help, let me call Caroline and tell her... And Damon!" Elena squeaked and hung up.
Shoot. I forgot to mention that the Stefan we'd bought back was a ruthless, careless monster...
I know it's short! I'm trying to work on making my chapters longer. It's starting to irritate me!!! So I hope you guys liked the first chapter? Remember to vote and comment and whatever, I'm sorry I forgot to mention this earlier but next Wednesday I'm going to Landzarote!
