Damon's P.O.V
"Damon! Stop it!" Elena squealed happily as I kissed her neck. "Damon! We need to get to work if we want to marry as soon as possible!" She playfully whacked me.
"Oi!" I yelled back playfully.
"Damon, seriously. We need to do waaay more work than we've already done. All we've done is the bride maids and your best men.
"Okay... Okay, fine." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my notebook. "These are my ideas."
Elena smiled at be and grabbed the book from my hand. She opened it and stared at the blank pages.
"Damon, it's empty. I took this to show Caroline and Bonnie yesterday, thank god Tyler invited us over before we did look at it." Elena sighed, disappointed in me.
"I'm sorry, Elena. I'm just not good with ideas. I'm not good with plans. I'm not good with weddings, would you believe of all my years of being alive... I've never been to a wedding?" I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.
"What? Seriously? Not one wedding?" Elena was shocked.
"Not one. Funerals are the only church event I've been to." I explained, boy was I making this sound a lot more depressing than it actually was.
"Okay... Well, I've only been to two weddings." Elena sighed, "but our wedding will be awesome. I mean, we've got Caroline!"
"The same Caroline who's too busy to help because she's organizing a dance for a school she doesn't even go to anymore?" I explained doubtfully.
"Don't give up on her. A wedding is more important than a school dance." Elena sighed, flipping her long hair over one shoulder.
"So... The venue?" I changed the conversation topic. Elena's eyes lit up as she reached for her little notebook and flipped it frantically to about the fifth page and poked at it with her finger whilst she showed me.
"There's this really cute little church just outside Mystic Falls, where my parents got married. And I-" I cut her off mid-sentence.
"I love the idea." I smiled at her, "we'll marry there."
Elena's wide brown eyes gazed up at me with hope and happiness. We'd decided something together, finally. It looked like our wedding was going to plan.
"So... What date? Next month? Next year? What?" I moved on with the topic again. Elena shrugged.
"No clue, I'd like it to be soon though." Elena replied, more hope glowing in her eyes.
"Sure, could we get it done by the end of next month?" I asked, filling with hope too.
"I guess so, I mean we have Caroline. But the school dance will be around that time too. I'm not sure what date, but I know it's at the end of April." Elena explained, I shrugged.
"Oh well, why doesn't she just give her dance planning crown to one of the current seniors?" I asked, confused by Caroline's actions.
"No clue. All I know is she wants to plan one more dance before she fully focuses on her college work." Elena rolled her eyes. It was official, Caroline Forbes didn't make sense.
"What I don't understand is why Max thinks it's a good idea to put vervain in the drinks supply at the school dance. Does he think we're all going to it? I mean, he must suspect all of us. Obviously, Caroline's going to go because she planned it all. But what makes him so certain we will all show up?" I asked.
"That's a good point." Elena shrugged, "I guess he knows Caroline will show up, and if she drinks his vervained water or whatever the drink is, he will capture her and possibly torture her for information on us."
