Elena's P.O.V
"I'm not making anymore! All this pancake making is hard work!" I complained, pretending to wipe sweat away from my forehead. Ric and Jer both looked at me, their puppy eyes begging and practically pushing me towards the stove.
"So hungry..." Jeremy muttered, nudging his plate a little closer to me.
"No! You're going to end up putting on a whole load of weight I swear to God!" I joked, my laugh taking over me. Jeremy got up and started chasing me around the kitchen, I was exploding with hysterics as he grabbed me around the waist and carrying me back to the stove.
"You know, it's nice to see you laugh again Elena." Alaric interrupted our friendly sibling playfight. He pushed his plate to the side and got up, tucking his chair in.
I smiled at him. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"
"Too long in my opinion." Jeremy said as he walked into the living room, collapsing on the couch. I didn.t reply, and I knew what they were both thinking. 'Because she's having a break from Damon.' No, okay. Not completely true. Yes I did need some space, but I also missed being around my family. I went to sit down on the couch next to Jeremy but a sudden knock at the door distracted me.
"Elena, open the door." It was Damon. He sounded very demanding. My eyes fixed on the door, I walked over timidly but Alaric blocked my way.
"You sure you want to open the door? I can just tell him to go." He offered, his face sympathetic.
"I'm fine Ric, Damon isn't some kind of monster I need protecting from. The only reason he could be here is to apologise to me." I sighed, pushing past Alaric. I placed one hand on the door handle and breathed in deeply before opening the door. Damon stood there, wearing the usual black leather jacket on top of all the other layers of black. His blue eyes were full of regret and a hint of sadness sprung in them. I couldn't see his usual grin upon his face, I couldn't see his rare frown either. His expression was mutual and flat. Hard to tell what he was thinking, only his eyes gave him away.
"What do you want." I muttered, leaning my head on the door.
"Elena, I want to apologise." He replied, an apologetic expression swept across his face.
"Then do it." I told him, folding my arms.
This should be good.
Jeremy's P.O.V
"Can you see them?" I asked Alaric, trying to peer over his shoulder. We had both raced upstairs to my bedroom which looked over the road the house was on. We were both battling for a spot on my window sill. I was failing considering Ric was stronger than me. But I was still younger, I would get away with jumping on his shoulders to overlook Damon and Elena's conversation.
"Nope, I might be able to get a look in if you got the hell off of my shoulders though." Alaric replied, knocking me off of his sturdy shoulders. I landed on the wooden floor with a thump. Ouch. I shrugged and sprung to my feet.
"Dammit, I'll go downstairs and see if I can get a look in." I decided, spinning on the balls of my feet. I ran down the stairs so fast I was surprised I didn't fall over half way down them. Elena turned around immediately and signalled for me to go back up stairs. I sighed and obeyed her, trudging my way back up the stairs.
"Did you get anything?" Alaric asked as soon as I got back up and into my room.
"Ric, I wasn't even down there for thirty seconds, how do you think it went?" I asked sarcastically. He sighed and laughed at me, giving me some space on the window sill to sit down.
Damon's P.O.V
I was so bad at apologies. I planned out in my head what I would say. Nothing fit right so I just decided to speak from the heart. I shrugged and went for it.
"I don't really know what to say. I never apologise. I understand now that I was wrong and I shouldn't have treated you like that. You didn't deserve it, I don't know how you put up with me. I was completely out of control and out of order, it will never happen again Elena, I promise. You will never ever see me like that for as long as you want to be around me. I get it if you don't want to forgive me. I was a complete jerk, and I don't deserve you. But I need to know, will you take me back?"
Elena sighed, what she said next could end in two different ways. If she accepted my apology then I'd get her back. But if she didn't, it was the end of the road for us.
I know it isn't very long! Ahh but it's the last update I can get in before I go on holiday tomorrow so yeah aha! I hope you like it and I'll try to update as much as I can during the two weeks I'm gone. I might be able to update loads but yeah I'll make sure I do update atleast once or twice!! What do you think Elena will say to Damon?! And what do you think is next for no humanity Stefan? I've tried really hard to make him different to the Stefan you're used to seeing on TVD when he's the ripper, I don't know if I'm failing or succeeding in that part but you all seem to like him better than normal Stefan??
Thanks guys! Vote and comment pretty please! Byeee!
