Elena's P.O.V
"You're not going to climb out of the window again... Are you?" Alaric teased, trying to lighten the mood, I rolled my eyes and slipped my shoes on my feet, I'd forgotten to do that earlier. Alaric grabbed my wrist tightly, not hurting me, but he grabbed it tightly. My eyes bulged at him, he was never like this towards me. His face was now angry and hurt. "Elena, I know I'm not your Father, but I try. I really do. my hands are tied here, you can't go anywhere."
I shook my head straight away. No. "Ric, please!" I begged, my hair pouring down and around my shoulders to add to the puppy dog eyes effect. He wasn't having any of it.
"I can't Elena, it's for your own safety that you can't leave this house until tomorrow." He told me sternly. I relaxed my shoulders and tried my puppy eyes for one last time before switching to plan B, making him feel guilty. Boy, I was a horrible person.
"What would you do? If you had vampire blood in your system, would you go save Damon? He's your best friend, Ric! I love him so, so much, you have to understand that I can't just sit in this house anymore. I need to help him, haven't you ever broken the rules?" I questioned him, his eyes turned sympathetic towards me, he knew I was right. Slowly, I felt the tight grip he had on my arm loosen until his fingers slid off of my soft tanned skin. I smiled at him, "thanks, Ric. Want to come with? I could use some back up."
"Okay, just don't tell Jeremy." He warned, I giggled at his joke and opened the door, stepping into the sunlight. I'd only been stuck inside for a day and I already felt like I'd been in hibernation for the entire summer. I'd missed this, the feeling of cool, fresh air pouring into my lungs as I breathed in. My eyes slowly rolled open as I looked up and soaked in the sunlight, I could feel Alaric's eyes on me as I quickly snapped my head to face him, he was smiling like a loony at me. I knew why, I was taking this so seriously.
"We running or taking the car?" I asked sarcastically as Alaric whipped his car keys out of his pocket and dramatically tapping the button causing the car to open with a smooth click.
"Get in before I change my mind." He winked at me and opened the passenger's door. I grinned at him and hopped inside, buckling myself up. Alaric skipped round the front of the car and hopped in the other side, sitting next to me and doing up his seat belt. With an agreeing growl of the car engine, we pulled out of the drive. As we did so, Jeremy came running out, screaming my name telling me to get back inside. He knew exactly where I was heading too.
Caroline's P.O.V
Walking down the road to the Salvatore's house couldn't have been more irritating. Whilst on my way there I was passed by a brunette and an older looking guy, they were driving a red mini cooper, obviously belonging to the brunette. She brought her wide lense sunglasses to below the bridge of her nose, taking a good look at me before winking and showing me her fangs. The older, yet extremely good looking guy, did the exact same with his fangs. Did they know I was a vampire? did they know who I was? No clue, all I knew was that I wouldn't forget either of their faces, for sure. I brushed off the weird interaction and continued strolling down the road minding my own business.
I arrived at the beginning of the Salvatore Boarding house drive, bracing myself for what I was about to witness.
"Here goes." I whispered to myself, stupidly. It was Stefan and Damon, for crying out loud. I mean, seriously? was I being a chicken? Was I, Caroline Forbes, being a chicken? No... Okay, fine I was. I rolled my eyes, disgusted with me petty fear and strolled to the front door, knocking, ignoring the perfect good conditioned bell on the wall right next to me. A cocky looking Stefan opened the door and grinned at me as if he was expecting me.
