Stefan's P.O.V
"Anyone you want in particular?" Camilla asked, her chocolate eyes gleaming in the disco light. I shrugged and looked around me; many people were dancing their hearts out, putting everything they had into dancing. I had understood now that this was Lenny's personal vampire slaughter bar, he rounded up innocent humans and let them have a good time. As soon as any of his vampire pals got hungry, there would be one or two less humans partying. It was a good idea, great even. I eyed a female, busting out some random moves, I looked at Camilla and then started to stroll towards her. She met my gaze and started to slow down her wild dancing, waiting for me to come over. I winked at her, before I got any closer to her Camilla grabbed me firmly by the arm and yanked me back.
"What the hell?" I growled, baring my fangs to her to show I was hungry. She waved a finger directly in my face.
"You don't want her, she is trying to hard to get some attention. Go for her." Camilla pointed her already extended finger in the direction of a young girl. She looked around the age of eighteen, her red hair flowed about six inches below her shoulders, and I could tell even from where I was standing that her eyes were a bright green that matched mine. The corners of my mouth turned up into a tiny smile, I hardly ever see people with eyes the exact same colour as mine. She was standing at the edge of the dance floor, her blue dress cut just above her knee was bright and easy to see. The dress reminded me of Damon's eyes, slightly. Camilla started to talk again. "She is the type of person who secretly wants to be noticed, why else would she be in that bright dress? All she needs is the right motivation and she's all yours." Camilla was grinning uncontrollably, her red lipstick almost as bright as the girl's blue dress. I nodded, and walked over to her. She looked a bit startled at first by my intimidating walk that I'd adopted. Her green eyes widened a little and then settled as soon as I'd made my way over to the wall and stood next to her. She gave me a tiny smile, her peach lip gloss shimmering in the disco lights.
"I'm Stefan." I said smoothly above the booming music, she nodded and smiled at me.
"I'm Lacey." She replied sweetly, sticking out a hand for me to shake. I shook it, noticing a diamond ring on her right hand.
"Pretty ring." I commented, still holding her hand whilst examining the ring. It would be perfect to keep after I killed her.
"Thanks, it's passed down in the family, my mother gave it to me after she passed away nine months ago." Lacey's smile weakened a little.
"I'm sorry to hear that." I replied, letting go of her hand. She quickly grabbed mine, examining my daylight ring.
"Now that ring is... Awesome! I like the stone, is that lapis lazuli?" She asked, playing with the ring.
"It is indeed. Passed down through the family alike yours." I replied. She traced her finger over the decoration in the middle.
"What is this?" She asked.
"My families' crest, the 'S' got engraved for me. It obvious means Stefan." I lied to her, very smoothly. She nodded in fascination.
"Cool! Hey, you wanna get a drink? I'll buy if you want?" Lacey offered, raising her eyebrows slightly.
"No need." I replied, tiny zig-zags making their way underneath my eyes. Lacey's face turned from a happy expression to pure shock. Her mouth shaped like an 'O', Her green eyes wide and beautiful. I bared my fangs to her, then suddenly I stopped. I felt my canines shrink back to normal, the zig-zags disappearing again. I gazed at her face for a little while, those green eyes. A beautiful leafy green, they didn't look like mine anymore. They resembled my mother's. My face went normal, a bit sympathetic.
"I'm sorry..." I muttered, not sure if she could even hear me above the music. She backed away slowly, her hands raising slowly to her shoulders. She span around and started to run for the double doors. Camilla quickly stepped in front of the doors, blocking Lacey's way. Camilla shook her head, zig-zag veins spreading under her eyes. She hissed and bared her fangs to Lacey, who was already horror struck. Camilla raced towards her, sinking her fangs into her neck. My eyes bulged at what I was seeing. Quickly, I vampire sped towards the two girls. I placed my hands tightly on Camilla's shoulders, tugging her away from Lacey. Camilla glared at me, growling.
"What the hell are you doing?" She snapped, blood pouring from her mouth.
"I can't let you do this to her, go find another meal." I demanded. Camilla glared at me again, and then at Lacey, who was petrified. I placed a hand on Lacey's shoulder, turning her body in my direction. She struggled in my grip and tried to turn away, I resisted her strength and made her stay still.
"Please, don't. I can't leave my little sister, she has no one left." Lacey begged. My mind flashed to Elena, she has said that many times about Jeremy.
"I'm not going to hurt you. Just calm down." I demanded, tugging her arm to the door. "Let's get you out of here."
Elena's P.O.V
My phone was buzzing like crazy in my back pocket while I was on the porch with Damon.
"Answer it." He told me, breaking away from our kiss. I nodded and quickly slipped it out of my pocket.
"Caroline." I said to Damon, he nodded and I answered the phone. "Caroline, hey... Oh, he's fine. Yeah... Everything's good again... Yeah he's with me now... Um, okay..." I hesitantly handed the phone to Damon, he raised an eyebrow at me. "She needs to speak to you." Damon rolled his eyes and took the phone from my hand.
"Barbie." He greeted Caroline with a flat tone. "What about him?" He looked at me, mouthing the word 'Stefan'. "Well I don't know, if he were in Chicago he would be... Um... He went practically everywhere in the city, but I can try get you his original Chicago address if you so solemnly wish." I giggled at Damon's sarcastic tone, never failed to put a smile on my face. "Alright, bye now." He hung up and handed me back my phone.
"Thanks, what did she want?" I asked as I slipped my phone back into my pocket.
"Stefan's most likely whereabouts in Chicago. I doubt he's there." Damon replied, trying to fix his hair in the wind. He wasn't doing too well with that.
"Wait, you think he's alive?" I suddenly realised, Damon had decided to believe me?
"Well yeah, if everyone is putting up such a fuss then it must be true. Caroline isn't the type of girl to try to hard for no reason." Damon glanced at me, he shot me one of his beautiful, signature smirks. "Come on, let's get inside. The wind must be freezing for you."
"Oh yeah, Mr. vampire doesn't feel the cold. I forgot." I teased, Damon chuckled. He slung his arm around my shoulder and pulled me in close as we walked inside.
