Damon's P.O.V

I stood staring at the open closet in my bedroom. I had a total of six leather jackets. I used to have seven, but that god damn Jack guy took off the one I was wearing when he snapped my neck. At least, that was my suspicion. They all practically looked the same, but I could still tell them a part some how. I felt like I'd been in the one I was wearing for too long. I slipped off the one I was wearing an threw it on a hanger, taking out another at random and putting in on. I zipped it all the way up, then half way, and then un did it completely. I needed to find a place the keep the zip, and it seemed that at the bottom of the jacket was the best option. My phone started to sing a random tune, I sighed. A pulled it out my jeans pocket. The word 'ELENA' was boldly darting across the screen. I slid the arrow across the screen to unlock the phone and answered the call.

"Yello!" I said too loudly for the phone.

"Um hey! So Caroline pointed out that we forgot Bonnie's birthday... I feel awful about it! Why wouldn't she bring it up? Anyway, me, Care, Ric, Tyler, Matt and Jer were all going to pitch in on buying her a cat. And I was wondering if you could buy the basics for the cat? Like bowls and toys and stuff, I'm going to buy the food and yeah... Would you mind?" She asked, desperation seething in her voice.

"Sure, why not. Where are you? I can hear like loads of people..." I replied, adjusting the position of the phone against my ear.

"At the store, Jeremy's hungry all the time now. Apparently he's still a growing boy. I need to stock up before he eats me and Ric." She teased.

"Ah, alright. Well I'll leave you to shop then. I'll call you later." I said, taking the phone away from my ear. I could only just hear a 'DAMON!' coming from the phone, I hastily placed it back to my ear. "Yes?"

"Bye, I love you." She said, compassion in her tone.

"And I love you." I replied. Just about to hang up, something distracted me. A White fiat pulled up onto the drive. I could just make out in the car windscreen that there were three people in the car; A red haired girl, a mini version of her, and... Stefan?

"Elena!" I managed to catch her before she hung up.

"Yeah? We aren't going to do that 'you hang up first' malarky, are we?" She teased.

"Haha, no. Um listen, I think... That, Stefan has just pulled up on my drive..." I muttered. I could picture the expression on her beautiful face.

"What? Oh my God! I'll finish up at the store and come straight over! Should I call Caroline and Bonnie and everyone?" She asked.

"Sure, sure, whatever. He has two red head girls with him. How did he manage to bag both of them with his poor flirting skills?" I teased.

"Don't forget he managed to win me over." She teased back.

"Yeah, like two years ago." I mumbled, I could hear her giggle.

"Okay, I'll just get a few more things and be right over. Bye!" Elena squeaked and hung up, leaving the line dead. Stefan was here? A part of me was overjoyed, another part just wanted to punch the grin that was probably plastered all over his face when he was to see me again. After all this drama of him being dead, he shows up at my door? Something was obviously wrong, especially if he had two girls with him. I hastily grabbed the blood bag I had retrieved from the basement and sucked it dry, chucking it in the bin. I walked out of my room and shut the door behind me, walking down the hall, towards the front door. Hastily, I placed my hand on the handle. Hesitating a little, I breathed in and opened the door, preparing to see my brother again.

Caroline's P.O.V

"She's perfect!" I squealed, marvelling all the tiny little kittens in their pen. There was one that really stood out to me, a small little fluffy black kitten. She had big, bright yellow eyes that shone like the sun. She was adorable, a pedigree cat that was so worth three hundred dollars. We were all going to pitch in to help Bonnie with the tiny cat.
