Elena's P.O.V

"But... I need to see him Jeremy." I demanded, completely shocked at what I'd heard.

"You can't! I'm not going, Ric isn't, and nor are you." He replied sternly.

"What about Bonnie?" I nearly shouted, I knew how Jeremy would answer this question...

"She can defend herself, her power, she's really strong. Besides, only she can stand a chance of getting old Stefan back."

"And I can't? I could make him feel emotion again! Jeremy trust me!" I begged my younger brother.

"No! Look, you'll thank me Elena. You can't go and I won't let you." Jeremy walked over to the front door, slinging the lock into the hole and dragging it across. His own little way of emphasising the fact he wouldn't let me leave the house.

I didn't reply, I got up and trudged my way up the stairs and into my room. I pushed my dresser in front of the door as my own personal lock. I was tired of people always protecting me. I don't need that twenty-four-seven. Stefan wouldn't hurt me... Would he? I needed to call Damon, tell him everything if he didn't already know.

"Yes, Elena?" Damon's voice boomed down the phone line, he sounded distressed.

"Are you okay? Listen, I can't come and see Stefan. Jeremy won't let me." I sighed.

"Good, cause he's being a completely different person. He doesn't care about anything Elena. It's like his humanity is off. Bonnie's just got here, maybe she can figure it out." Damon replied.

"Stefan's humanity is off, Damon..." I mumbled, dreading his reply.

"What? How? Since when?" He growled.

"Ask Bonnie, she can explain it better than I can." I replied.

"Bonnie already knew? And she didn't think to tell me?!" He shouted down the phone.

"Damon, calm down. Don't do anything stupid."

"Typical that the little witch shows up now isn't it?"

"Damon don't hurt Bonnie!" I shouted, he didn't reply. Suddenly the phone line went dead. "DAMON!" I shouted again. I needed to get over there, I was the only person who could calm Damon down at the moment... Apart from Alaric but there was no way he'd go. I chucked my phone onto my bed and stepped onto the window sill. Sliding the window open, I placed a foot outside and firmly on the outside window sill. I clinged to the curtain pole above my head as I placed another foot outside. I quickly sat down and clung to the window handle this time, I bravely hung my entire body out the window and lowered myself down, my feet started to tingle as my breathing got heavier.

"Don't look down, don't look down." I muttered to myself.

Praying Jeremy wouldn't see me, I let myself fall.

Bonnie's P.O.V

I sat uncomfortably on the boot of Caroline's car, eyeing Stefan. I couldn't think of a way to get him back. There must be a loop hole to the mess I'd made. I could feel Caroline's glare on my face, I didn't dare to turn and face her, risking her wrath that she'd be sure to unleash.

"Bonnie!" A familiar voice shouted, they sounded extremely angry. I turned to see Damon walking towards me with a pounding and intimidating speed. I didn't even have time to reply, he started to yell at me. "What exactly did you do to my brother?" He growled.

"I'm working on it, I'll get him back." I replied, sliding off of the car boot and backing away from him slowly.

"That wasn't what I asked was it? I said, what exactly did you do to my brother?!" He repeated, his voice more intensely angrier.

"I don't know! I used Jeremy's ring to bring him back, and it might have bought his alter ego back." I murmured, his angry appearance becoming even more angrier.

"You... bought back... Ripper Stefan?! I swear to God..." Damon started to say, but Caroline interrupted him.

"Hey! Don't threaten my best friend! She didn't mean for any of this to happen! She's going to fix it so for now can't we just be happy Stefan is alive and he is home now?!" Caroline shouted. Damon rolled his eyes.

"Yes, let's all be grateful Bonnie raised a monster from the dead... Possibly worse than Klaus." Damon spat. Caroline's eyes bulged out of her head.

"Leave her alone! She didn't mean to do any of this! I'd honestly rather have a live ripper Stefan than a dead normal one. Because there is a way to save him. Why don't we make him care again?" Caroline suggested.

"Oh, yeah! Good luck with that, Barbie." Damon muttered.

"Do you even hear yourself? Honestly, I don't know what Elena sees in you." Caroline spat, narrowing her eyes at him. All emotions were wiped off of Damon's face. He turned around and walked off, away from the Boarding house.

"Caroline! Look what you did!" I yelled at her.

"Me? He shouldn't have gotten me angry!" She screamed.

"You shouldn't have interrupted! That argument was between me and Damon!" I spat, she rolled her eyes at me. "You know how Damon is about Elena! Saying something like that to him could make him do anything! If they break up it's your fault." I turned around and got into Caroline's car, turning the key she left in the ignition.

"BONNIE!" I heard Caroline shout through the glass. I ignored her calls and started up the car, driving off and away from the Salvatore Boarding house.

Damon's P.O.V

Why did I always do this? Whenever someone said something to annoy me, I'd just storm off. And it was normally Elena related, too. I couldn't help it, I was mad. I wanted to rip someone's throat out. I kept walking until I got to the end of the road, now I had a choice... Left, right, or straight on? Suddenly Caroline's car pulled up next to me, the window wound down to reveal Bonnie Bennett. I rolled my eyes and continued to walk, choosing left at my route.

"Damon. Get in the car." Bonnie ordered, driving slowly along side me.

"Hmm... No. I'm fine walking, but thanks. Oh and thanks for turning my brother into a monster, too." I spat, not even looking in her direction.

"Damon listen to me! I need to explain everything that happened that night. And I think I know how to get Stefan back." Bonnie shouted, I started to walk faster.

"I have vampire speed Bonnie, don't tempt me." I warned, I could hear her angered sigh.

"Please Damon! The only way I can tell you is if you get in the car! I can't keep driving at this speed down a busy road, I'll pick up a que of road raging drivers." Bonnie begged.

"Fine, you'd better have a good explanation." I replied, Bonnie stopped the car as I swung the door open and stepped inside.
