{38} Two meetings in one chapter

Stefan's P.O.V 

I sat anxiously in my living room along side Alaric, Jeremy, Matt and Tyler. Damon was standing up in front of us with an uncomfortable stare.

"Well? Any ideas?" Damon questioned us again. We all look at one another for ideas and each ended up shrugging.

"Come on, man. We're not girls, I know nothing about weddings." Alaric sighed.

"You must know something, what about yours and Isobel's freaking wedding?" Damon snapped.

"Yeah, well you knew how she was. She had to take charge." Alaric improvised with a smug grin. I rolled my eyes and set my green orbs back on my brother.

"Matt? Come on, you've been with all three of those girls since well I don't know. You must have some feminine influence?" Damon smiled hopefully.

"I'm sure I can come up with a few ideas, what are you in charge of?" Matt asked.

"I don't know. I just want to show Elena how much I really care about the wedding. She's got my damn notebook an I can't remember a thing from it." I sighed annoyingly.

"What about your best man?" Tyler asked rather smugly.

"Well Elena's having two maids of honour, so I'm having two best men. Stefan? Ric? What do you say?" He smiled at me and then Alaric.

"I'd love to, man." Alaric smiled back. Damon then set his attention to me with another hopeful smile. 

"Sure." I nodded, smiling back at him.

"Good, now who wants a drink?" Damon changed the topic rather quickly and suddenly four hands shot up in the air. I looked around me and eventually put mine up in the air too. 

"Great, but sorry Jer. Elena said the only drink I can give you is water. So go and get some." Damon smiled at him. He felt so much power at that moment. Damon quickly opened up a small cupboard to the right of him and got out five glasses between his two hands. He set them down on the coffee table and turned back around and grabbed a random bottle of whiskey. "I hope you guys like it strong." Damon announced as he poured a little bit in each glass. We all drank it down within two minutes.

"We should call the girls and invite them over." Tyler suggested, already getting out his phone and texting Caroline.

"Yeah, sure you don't need to ask me before you text her." Damon snapped sarcastically. Tyler rolled his eyes and glared at Damon.

"She said yes. They'll be over soon." Tyler snapped back.

"Perfect." I smiled, putting a stop to the tension brewing between Damon and Tyler.

Meredith's P.O.V

"Thanks for coming." Max smiled at the last member of the founding families who walked through his front door. He closed it behind them and grinned at me. "Please, follow Meredith to the living room." He gave me a shove and I willingly led them all into the living room. Max had a big, long sofa that curved along the main wall opposite his television, he had also set up a few extra chairs from his dining room. Everyone took up a space leaving me a Max to two dining room chairs placed in front of the television.

"Okay, let's get started. I've called this meeting because it has come to my attention that vampires are still in Mystic Falls. How do I know this? Well..." Max held up the picnic basket and placed it on his lap, he pulled out two blood bags. "I found this whilst walking my dog. They were abandoned in a field next to a picnic blanket. My cousin Meredith here has filled me in with some information that the blood bags are not allowed to leave the hospital due to the fact they will go bad. So no doctor could have taken them with them. Unless a vampire had raided the hospital." Max waited for a reaction from the other members before he continued. "When I let our very own sheriff, Liz, know about my discovery she though of every possible reason beside a vampire. Which led me to believe she might indeed know this vampire. The only family member she has in town is her daughter Caroline. Obviously, Liz has other friends in town but Caroline Forbes is my number one suspect. Which is exactly why you will notice Liz, Carol, Damon and Alaric are not present at today's meeting. They all have ties with Caroline."
