Elena's P.O.V

I was turned over on my side facing the wall, it was early in the morning.  I had no idea what time it was, but it was early.

"Elena!" Caroline squealed as she jumped on top of me.

"Is it time?" I asked, my morning voice strong and scratchy. My eyes struggled to open but as soon as they did I saw Caroline's smiley face gazing down on me.

"Yep! Let's get you ready!" She squealed again. Caroline jumped off of me and my bed and hurried into the bathroom. Bonnie, Ashleigh and Lacey were all awake and propped upwards against one of my bedroom walls. They look exhausted. I glanced over at the clock, it was seven in the morning. Meredith was called to the hospital late last night, but she promised she would meet us at the church.

"Caroline, the wedding isn't until two. Can't we all sleep for another hour?" Bonnie whined, she yawned straight afterwards for effect. Caroline reappeared in the doorway holding a bath robe and a towel.

"Shower." She chucked them both at me whilst I too was in mid-yawn. She then turned to the other three, "fine, but you're all showering one by one after Elena. Ashleigh grinned at Caroline and shifted slightly to her left so she could effectively collapse onto her sleeping bag.

Caroline glared at me until I started to get up from my position on the bed. I quietly walked past her and into the bathroom. As soon as I closed and locked the door and took my hair down from its ponytail, I walked over to the mirror where I finally managed to fully open my eyes. I looked awful. Maybe a shower would wake me up more. I slid off my pyjamas and hopped into the shower, turning on the water which was cold as it hit my back and slowly warmed up. As soon as I got it at the right temperature I dipped my head under and wet my hair and the rest of my body. Here was where it all started to sink in, I was getting married today. Married. Elena Salvatore. It was all so surreal and the butterflies in my stomach started to beat harder and flap around a lot more. Boy, I was so nervous.

As soon as I was done with my shower, I threw on my robe and wrapped the towel around my head to stop my wet hair from dripping. I opened the door to find Lacey, leaning against the wall with a big smile on her face. I smiled back at her as she went to shower. Caroline had prepped up my desk with all her makeup brushes etc, she stood behind the chair and gestured me to sit down. I rolled my eyes and obeyed her. She span the chair around so I was facing the small mirror on the desk, yup I still looked a mess.

"Okay, we'll dry your hair and then get started on the makeup." Caroline told me, before I had the chance to reply I felt a warm blast of air hit the back of my neck and she started to brush through my hair at the same time.

"Okay, look up." Caroline ordered sweetly as she attacked my lashes with a mascara wand. "There we go." The then grabbed the peach coloured lipstick and smeared it across my lips. "Press them together, but don't rub." I did as she said. "And... Done!" She put the lid back on the lipstick and clapped her hands together. Bonnie, Lacey and Ashleigh were all back where they started, propped up against the wall but this time they each had bath robes on and a towel around their heads.

"Thanks, Care. Now go shower and I'll take care of the girls." I told her, smiling in appreciation. She smiled back at me and slid out of the door.

"Elena, go put on your dress. We can get ready by ourselves." Bonnie told me, the other two smiling.

"You sure? I mean, I've still got plenty of time before I'm meant to be at the church." I pointed towards the clock hanging above their heads.

"Positive, you relax for a bit though. It's a little early for the dress and we don't want you to ruin it!" Ashleigh grinned her perfect pearly white teeth at me. I nodded and fell back wards on to my bed.
