His Eyes (A Poem)

His eyes

That crinkles when he smiles

That goes away when he laughs

That sparkles when he is happy

That cries when he is in pain

Or when he is in supreme ecstasy

That sharpens when he is frustrated

That winks when he is mischievous

That widens in his surprise

Or shrinks in his anger

That speaks without words

That tells of secrets within

That shows us his innermost thoughts

Or gives us even just a glimpse

That closes when he is content

That smiles for love and happiness

His eyes that become everything

Whenever he looks at me
