She was tired. Dead tired. As she dragged her feet and luggage from the elevator towards the front door of her condo unit. She yawned and tried to make sure that she doesn't fall on her face as she walked, her tired limbs screaming for her to put them to rest.

Don't get her wrong. She had a ton of R&R over at Maldives, especially with it being her dream travel destination. The crystal blue green of the seas out there couldn't be compared with any other beaches that she's already been at. Add to that the luscious sand, the sunny skies and the delectable food - and she was in total bliss, living her days in paradise.

However, the thought of going back to reality (a.k.a work) as she sat in the plane a while ago, quickly dawned on her. And that alone made her tired as hell. Add to that the almost 8 hour travel time and she was one exhausted lady by the time they landed in NAIA.

Mike picked up Coleen and both Celeste and Jenni took a ride home together. So that left her, with her driver, whom she asked to take her home to her condo, which was closer. She was too drained to travel to her childhood home in Bulacan then come back to the city the following day, early morning for an event she needed to be in. So she thought--

Condo it is.

She was already drifting off as she sluggishly looked for her keys in her purse just as she stopped by the door of her unit, when her phone vibrated - signaling a call. She groaned as she took it out of her pocket but smiled immediately when she saw who it was.

"Hello, RJ."

"Kamusta mahal? Are you home yet?"

"Parang hindi tayo magkausap kanina when I landed, ah," she teased making him chuckle. "I just got home. Kakadrop pa lang sa'kin ni Kuya. Ikaw? Tapos na shoot?"

"Yep. I'm home na rin."

She raised a brow at that, thinking that he drove too quick to be home when only an hour ago, he said he was still wrapping up his shoot. Maybe he had a driver or maybe it wasn't too traffic anymore? It was kinda late, come to think of it.

"Ang bilis mo naman nakauwi," she commented just as she was finally able to open her front door. She stepped inside while hauling her luggage behind her, stopping by her entryway to remove her sandals.

"Parang kanina lang nasa shoot ka pa--" she suddenly stopped mid-sentence when she looked up. And finally noticed him standing at the end of her hallway, phone in his ear, smiling that cute bedimpled smile of his at her. She then absentmindedly ended the call, dropped her phone and without preamble, ran towards him - his arms already outstretched ready to receive her.

She jumped in his arms and wound her arms around his neck just as he lifted her off the ground and spun her once, laughing as she clung to him like a koala, literally, after - arms and legs completely around him.

"I missed you, love," she whispered in his ear, as she embraced him tight.

"Hmmm... I missed you more," he murmured as his hands started to go up and down her back, caressing her, his longing for her palpable in the heat of his touches. "And you still smell like the sun and the sea."

"Is that a bad thing?" she asked as she leaned back, smiling at him, gazing at him adoringly and with such love and raw emotion in her eyes that only but a few people were privileged to witness.

He was one of those few.

He chuckled and shook his head. "No. Ikaw na ikaw actually ito. Dagat at araw plus natural Nicomaine scent all rolled into one. Maldives did you good, mahal."
