••| Chapter 14 |••

Zaira:

I got up bubbling with all the excitement because I was leaving for Paris today with the world's best husband. I looked at him in complete awe while he slept peacefully. I freshened up and changed into a casual check shirt and a jeans capri.
I prepared his clothes and started waking him up. I sat by his side on the bed and brushed his messy hair with my fingers. I gently shook him by his arm.

"Sid! Get up We've to leave in 2 hours. Sid Come on! Today you had a peaceful sleep. I didn't even annoy you. SID!"

My eyes went wide at the feel of his body. His body was burning. He was having an extremely high grade fever. I started shaking him furiously but it was of no avail. I sprinkled some water gently on his face and he opened his eyes.

Thank God, He opened them!
I sighed in relief.

"You scared the hell out of me. Why would you do that idiot?" I said in complete worry as I saw his pale face. Tears threatened to flow down my cheeks

"Sorry" was all he could say. I quickly grabbed a small piece of cloth and soaked it in water. I dabbed it on his forehead and the abdominal region several times. I kept doing that until his body got a little better.

Then, I gave him some medicines. He felt slightly better after that. At least, he could walk around.

"Calm down Zaira, it's an ordinary fever. It will go away with these medicines." He said seeing me all tensed and worried.

"No, it's not an ordinary fever. You're burning for God's Damn sake." I said a little bit furiously.  How could I just not care for him?

"We've flight in an hour or so. I need to be ready." He stated.

"Yes..Maybe the shower will make you feel a little better. Go and freshen up." I encouraged him and pressed his clothes. He quickly changed and we grabbed our luggage out of the room. We went downstairs and had our breakfast. Finally we were ready to leave.

"I will miss you, My sweethearts!" Dee said genuinely, hugging both of us.

"We too Dee. I hope this one month passes soon." Sid replied hugging her back.

Well not really! I never want this one month to pass. I grinned at my thought and slightly slapped myself.

"I'm going to miss you so much." Priya said hugging me.

"Well, make sure you've the time of your life." She continued while winking at me. I just smirked in return.

The family accompanied us to the Airport. The announcement was made and after few emotional goodbyes, we boarded the plane.

My eyes nearly popped out as I saw our seats in the business class. I quickly settled down with Sid beside me. I turned on the LCD and one of my favourite movie "Dear John" was playing on one channel. While I was busy in admiring Channing Tatum, I saw Sid sleeping. I shook him and he whined in pain. "Ouch! My head hurts"

I quickly stopped annoying him and started messaging his forehead. The expression on his face changed to a cheesy smile which I longed to see all the time.

How could someone be so perfect? Like I was Jealous. He had the perfect brown eyes, long eyelashes, perfect jawline, luscious full lips and a cute pointed nose. He even got six pack abs. No obviously, I didn't want six pack abs. It would be a little weird for me. No, not little. It would be very creepy! I am talking about looks in general. He looked like a freaking Greek God.

I chuckled at my thoughts and he shot me a confused look. I shook my head at him playfully.

After a long and tiring journey, we reached Paris. I couldn't believe I was there. My life was just perfect. We grabbed our luggage and my jaws almost dropped on seeing a gorgeous black Mercedes waiting outside for us.

"Do you have contacts everywhere in the world?" I asked him surprised.

Sid:

I had not been feeling well since morning but thanks to her. She was taking care of me as if I was a small child. We landed at the airport. Her question made me chuckle a little.

"Well, Don't be surprised if we go to our own apartment instead of renting a hotel." I replied nonchalantly

"Wait, Don't tell me you even have an apartment in Paris? Like Woah! Seriously? Why didn't you tell me before?" She replied completely ecxcited.

"You never asked." I replied sheepishly.

The whole ride was silent as she kept admiring the beauty of the city and soon she started jumping up in excitement as she saw the Eiffel Tower right in front of her eyes.

I smiled at her innocence. "We've arrived at our destination." I said as I got out of the car. We made our way to our room and started setting up all the things. I could see how excited she was to go out and explore the city but she just delayed the program for me to get better first. I loved her for this very reason, she prioritised me before anything else.

Zaira:

I wanted to roam around and explore the city but since Sid wasn't well, I cancelled my plans and put them off until tomorrow. I decided to explore the apartment. It was so so big and I was in awe of seeing the interior and all the decor. It seemed like everything was planned and decorated carefully by professional interior decorators. But honestly, all we needed was a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom. The bedroom was the most beautiful in the whole house.

There was a huge king-sized bed in the centre exactly opposite to a huge glass window which had a small balcony outside. The whole city could be seen from that place and the most special thing about that was the Eiffel Tower, which was right in front. There was a big plasma screen at one side and two comfortable sofas on the other. The back led to a swimming pool. It was the last thing I could've asked for. I swear I could have spent my entire life in that room. I changed my clothes and got comfortable in my jeans shorts and a tank top. Sid did too and wore his tight muscle shirt over his three forth jeans. We sat in the balcony admiring the beauty in front of us. It was night time and the whole city was lighted up. The Eiffel tower was glowing in a shade of pink and purple. I swear I had never been in such a romantic environment before. Truly, it was the city of Love. I got up and returned with two cups of latte. We sat in the balcony for about 2 hours.

"Sid, I'm so lucky to have you in my life. All these years, I don't know what Good have I done that God sent you as a reward. You're not just my partner. You're my boyfriend, my husband, my best friend, my soul mate, my saviour who doesn't get a bit annoyed of all the shit stuff that I like to do. You're truly a gem. You could've got anyone after our contract ended but you chose me, an ordinary girl."

"What was all that for? You're lucky? No actually I'm lucky that you transformed my life from a living hell into a heaven. You infused a new life in me. I was never like this before. And yeah, I'm glad that I chose an ordinary girl who is way better than all those rich spoiled brats. In fact, she has no comparison."

He said as tears twinkled in my eyes. He scooted closer to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I felt his smooth finger pads moving under my eyes to catch any tears that had escaped.

"The last thing I want to see is these tears in those pretty eyes of yours." He spoke as he placed a gentle kiss on my temple. I placed my head on his shoulder as we looked at the beautiful starry sky and scenic beauty.

I closed my eyes feeling surreal. It felt like heaven. I was glad that I had gotten the idiot I had always wanted, who loved me like crazy.
