Sid:

I woke up to find the place next to me empty.

Maybe she's in the kitchen. I thought.

I went to washroom to get ready for the office. After freshening up, I went to kitchen but she wasn't there. Then I went to terrace, but I faced disappointment again. I rushed towards the library room but still couldn't find her. Now I got really worried. I went to Sanaya's room thinking that she must be knowing but to my surprise, even she wasn't there. I went to Aryan.

"Aryan? Do you know where Zaira and Sanaya are?"

He just shrugged his shoulders. I could sense something wrong. I rushed towards my room. As I was looking here and there, searching for my cell phone to call her, something caught my attention. It was a paper with my name written on it.

I opened it with trembling hands and my fear turned into reality. Tears started to pour down not caring anymore.

What have you done Zaira? How could you just leave me like I mean nothing to you! How can you say you love me and then leave me the next instant! What have I done? You promised not to leave me! Now what? I cannot afford to lose you. After my mother and Dee, you're the only light in my life! What do you think? I will just sit here and do nothing? No! I am coming for you!

I held the letter to my chest, it had her tear stains and her fragrance was still in my room which was the only thing soothing me right now. As I was reading the letter, the last line stuck in my head

Start a new life with Sana and Raj. Start a new life? What does this mean?

I was still figuring it out when something crossed my mind. I quickly opened the cupboard and started searching for it. I quickly tore the packet to see the next thing that came as a total shock! Shock would be an understatement for it.

How's this possible? Raj is my son? No! I am sure about this. No, No just No!

Now everything was clear.

Zaira, why didn't you wait for my response?

I was now enraged to the core.
I quickly went towards the guest room, yelling her name in frustration.

"SANA! SANA! COME HERE WITHIN A MOMENT."

"What happened?" She acted innocent.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" I asked her, more like barked at her.

"Sid, please calm down first and listen to me carefully!"

"THERE IS NO CALMING DOWN RIGHT NOW! GET STRAIGHT TO THE POINT! OR ELSE I WOULD DO SOMETHING THAT WOULD MAKE ME REGRET LATER. NOW SPEAK UP!" I spat at her.

"You remember the farewell party night. You were fully drunk that night and so was I but I was still in my senses to know what's happening. I hid it for 4 years and tried to raise him by my own self after I came to know that you're already married. But it was getting extremely difficult now. I wasn't able to raise him properly and fulfill his needs. He lived a life without a father for 4 years. Now I can't let him. You've to accept him. There's no backing out now."

As soon as the words sank in my system, my vision blurred.

"He's not my son!" My voice had weakened now.
