••| Chapter 32 |••

Zaira:

We all were sitting in the lounge, having a good family time after dinner. I was playing around with Raj. Surprisingly, Sana was okay with it and was smiling at me. Rahul was playing with Aena.

What a cute sight that was!

Priya was busy in entertaining little Rohan and I was beside her. Dee [Sister], Arjun, Aryan, Sanaya were chit chatting and Sid was sitting beside Dadi [Grandmother] with his head in her lap. She was massaging his head and caressing his face. She gave him a kiss on his forehead and he just sat there calmly as if he was in the most comfortable place of the world. I got up to bring my cell phone which I had forgotten in my room. As I was climbing up the stairs, I saw that Sana was following me. I turned around.

"Yeah?" I asked her.

"Actually, Zaira I want to talk to you." she replied.

I nodded "Come to my room, we can talk there." and she followed. As we entered the room, she closed the door.

What is she up to? I thought to myself.

"Zaira, I came here to warn you that stay away from my Sid. I have told you that Sid is the father of Raj. My son has lived for 4 years without a father. Now I can't let him live a life devoid of father's love! What are you? Huh? A roadside girl, who knows how to tackle rich boys and earn their sympathies! You have ruined mine and my son's life by marrying Sid. You're just a bad luck for him. Because of you, he has nearly experienced death. Because of you, he was lying lifeless for a week. Because of you, he got brutally injured and only because of you, he's still not able to walk properly. It's all your fault. All the problems in his life are because of YOU."

She yelled at me. I stood their numb trying to process every single word that came out from her mouth.

Is it really my fault? Is Sid in this condition because of me? Well technically yes, because if he hadn't gone out to bring that necklace for me? He would not have met with an accident.

"You know what? You have done enough to ruin his life! Now I won't let you. I love him. And only I deserve him and he deserves me because he still LOVES me." she said.

"Wha--tt do you mean?" I asked stuttering.

"Yeah, Sid loved me in college. We were a couple until Sid came to know that I was that girl he once saw with his mom. From that day onwards, our relationship was not on the same terms. But you know when time passes, you forgive everyone, even your enemies and eventually the feelings come back that you try to burry within you." she continued.

"I don't believe a single word of yours!" I replied her confidently this time.

"I know babe, you will never believe me because you trust your sweet husband so much. No problem, I brought the proof with me. Here see this." She said and handed over her phone to me.

What my eyes saw next was unbelievable. It was so shocking for me that I wasn't even able to shed a tear. There were so long conversations between two of them.

"Now hope you're satisfied. And yeah I've applied for the DNA test. Kindly help me and bring a sample of Sid's hair so that I can show you that I am telling the truth. And after you would  leave, we'll start a new family. Sid, I and Raj. A perfect and complete family." She said sweetly, note the sarcasm, and snatched away her phone. She left slamming the door, leaving me completely astonished.
