"Somebody once asked me if I knew you. A million memories flashed through my mind but I just smiled and said I used to"

Chapter one: John's pov.
"Great night right?" I asked my manager hoping for a conversation. I slumped myself on the couch, pulling out my tie.
"Yes" he looked at me, "But you need to play more of the songs your fans ask for, social networks and fans build careers."
He knew very well that playing the piano was the only place I could let my emotions run wild, the only place I could feel absolutely free, sometimes it felt like the piano was the only thing that understood me. To play so many keys that reflected my mood which no one could ever translate. It was heaven.
"I play what I feel, you should understand that".
"What you feel won't keep a roof over your head," he stared at me, "Just have a good night and remember you have a meeting tomorrow at nine a.m, sharp."
He quickly walked out and I just casually walked around my pent house admiring the space. I pulled my tie off completely, taking in what felt like my first breath of the night.
I appreciated my manager Greg, because he believed in me and saw a talent no one else saw. I wouldn't be here without him. Pianists didn't make it alone, but he made it possible for me.
It wasn't long before I began playing for other artists but I mostly enjoyed my own pieces. That was my life. My friends, my work and my home -which although was beautiful, made me realize how alone I was- and my manager, Greg.
I made it to my room upstairs and took a nice long well deserved shower. After my shower I dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a long sleaved black shirt. Stepping downstairs I walked over to the living room with a towel in my hand because I wanted to watch tv and my hair was still wet.
I got up from the couch and went to the kitchen rubbing my hair with the towel. I needed a snack before it came back from commercial.
I took a packet of chips and a can of soda and fell back to the couch.
I heard my phone buzzing but I couldn't find it." Where is it?" I stummered. Looking all around the room until I saw it between the couch.
Picking it up I saw it was my closest friend Fal. His real name was Jared but during highschool he was one hell of a fast kid so we called him Falcon.
He was a really good friend and he's always there when I needed someone to talk to.
Fal: where are you man?
John: @home, why?
Fal: you know that gorgeous lady that was at your private show?
John: Yeah
Fal: well I sorta gave her your address, she said she really likes you, and you could use a little something in your life. How long have you been single. 5yrs?
John: I don't want a relationship, she's gonna come here for nothing.
Fal: she's already on her way.
I don't understand why he would give my address to the first girl who saw an interest in me. There was nothing I could do. She was already coming to my house.
John: fine.Fal: thanks and remember I did this for you. I thought you'd go all mad on me.
John: whatever. Oh and one thing
Fall: yeah..
John: Fuck you
Fal: That's my Johnny. I swear i could see his smug face.
I sighed, feeling a little damp."No one can compare to her" I blanked out not realizing I was thinking out loud.
Now I have to change.
