chapter 21

"Jared you tell me right now, how you know she broke up with me."

He stood up walking to me. "John I was assuming,did you think I would buy that story you told me in the plane." He said stuttering.

I held him by the collar of his shirt and hit him against the wall. "Jared I'm not playing, tell me the truth" I said as I looked at him with pure anger in my eyes.

He managed to push me off. "You really want to know huh, I'm the one that made Amanda break up with you, is that was what you want."

He sat there and watched me as my heart ached for her and he had the guts to do such a thing.

"How could you, you knew I loved her so much, what'd you do anyways, sleep with her, tell me." As I grabbed his collar. "I said tell me!" He just kept a straight face.

"Of course not I would never do such a thing to you." He eventually said

I laughed. "Oh I think we've passed the whole best friend code line. What'd you do Jared?"

"I'll tell you just give me my space please." He said as I moved back. He explained everything about his little kidnap and what he had told her. At the moment I didn't know what to think at all. I was sitting down and the only thing keeping my head from falling were my hands. I kept scratching my head with my hands, my frustration was building up faster than he could finish. But when he did, I got up and pushed him to a wall.

"You're my best friend how could you do this, I love her and you thought it was ohk to manipulate my life like that. I regret ever confiding in you, I regret bringing you to this damn vacation with me because you don't care a shit about me."

"But I d.."

I interrupted him "No you don't, if you did you wouldn't have just stood there laughing behind my back when you caused all the trouble I'm going through because Ama thinks I could die, because of you. Now I don't know much about best friends but that is one thing they don't do." I told him.

"You just need to calm down Joe, I did this all for you." He said sympathetically.

"Wow for me thanx so much. I was happy Jared, you didn't even give me one day to enjoy myself with her. "

"She caused you a lot of pain" he said trying to justify.

"Yes and I would go through that pain and suffering if it meant I'd be with her at the end! That's what love is Jared but I guess you wouldn't know."

He didn't reply." You know what I'm leaving." I said as I started packing my things.

"Where you going?" He softly asked. "To Amanda ohk." I blurted out. I got all my bags and before I left, I threw him a card.

"What's this?"he asked as he held it in his hand.

"This vacation was my treat, I don't think you have another way back, my code is 55667" I said as I left.

I went down the elevator and knocked on her door.

"John?" she said surprised.

"Hi I'm sorry it's late but I need to tell you I'm leaving."

"Leaving?" She asked confused.

"Yes something came up and I realized the girl I love didn't want to break up with me. You're a very good friend to me and I can't leave without saying goodbye. Maybe one day we'll meet again if life permits. You have been one hek of a vaca buddy but we'd eventually go back to our lives right." I said as I breathed out after the long speech.

She just smiled and hugged me "I'll miss you John, have a great life." She said pulling me out off the hug.

"Don't worry."she smiled.
