"Attention everyone" Mrs Moset called out to the crowd ringing a spoon to her glass. Everyone in the small crowd looked up to her.

The get together was in full swing and was at wonderful heights and everyone enjoyed the peace of heaven they had amongst the hell.

Family to friends to close business associates attended this gathering, it couldn't be called a lunch anymore.

Amanda knew this. Everything her mother touched turned to gold, she was a woman of perfection. The one person who did not know of this was John when he blindly accepted his house to become the bearer of the event.

He played it cool though. Mrs Moset already was like a mother in law to him and he wasn't going to count his chickens before they hatched.

"Can I say that this year has been an emotional roller coaster ride for all of us whether it's the people we lost, financial problems, work related problems or any sort. We are getting through it and we will get through it. The future in inevitable but we have some say in what can make our lives worth living. I'm glad we all could take this time just to relax because I sure needed it" she paused giving everyone a chance to laugh. "But I really want you to enjoy today, to life" she raised her glass while everyone roared back cheering.

John looked at Amanda intently, she was smiling at her mother. Sometimes he'd have to pinch himself to actually come to terms with his reality. She was here, with him.

Amanda felt his stares dig deep into her.

"Something wrong?" she asked amused but all John could do was smile at her. How he controlled himself around her was one of life's mistery, maybe it was the respect he had for women constantly fighting with the urge of being with her. But evidently his morals always overpowered.

She laughed engaging a conversation with her father while he took another sip of his glass.

"Everything alright?" Aden greeted with a glass in his hand. Brunette hair was nothing short of normal in the Moset family, but his hazel eyes made him stand out.

"Yeah of course, and you? How's the business" John asked casually sipping on his drink. John and him were not really close but they admired and acknowledged each other, once friends.

"Well pretty well but you know how companies can gain threats anytime so I need to go back and see how things are. I can't leave Andrew with all the work, we do own it together." He finished his sentence, realizing he over explained his reasons to John like some sort of psychology session.

"Of course business comes first" John replied fully aware that it was a goodbye but realized Aden's view was already occupied.

A certain blonde had made a mark on his heart but he didn't know what to do with it. She laughed at something but of course he couldn't hear, he just stared at her until his feet began moving. He walked over to where Amanda and Dezi where talking, their father just entering the house.

"Aden" Amanda exclaimed as she hugged him, he returned it and gave Dezi a small smile not really sure where they stood.

Two whole seconds passed before Dezi gave him a hug realizing he wasn't going to anytime soon. He took her in for too long, embracing how right it felt. He knew he shouldn't have.

"Hey sis, I'm leaving today, the company needs me" he said lowly, in a way Dezi wouldn't hear but of course she did.

"It's fine Aden, I'm just glad you were here with me for some time, remember to call me when you arrived back okay" she said hugging him. "Now if you excuse me, John is waiting" she added squealing.

She walked through the crowd, leaving Dezi and Aden to meet eye to eye, to feel all they felt.

"You're leaving" she finally croaked.

"You can come with me" he said to her, surprising not only her but himself. Dezi never expected those words from him, how could he expect her to move so fast.

She couldn't just pack up and go. That's not how she was.

She looked at him, speechless. She couldn't come up with the words, fear overwhelming her. She began slowly walking away into the house while Aden called her out, but that was all he could do because his mom called him into a conversation.

"How about we give these people a show" John said crawling up on Amanda.

She held him tight, her smile growing.

"I'd love to" she said simply as they came through the crowd to the deck outside the lounge.

John took a guitar instead. He was a multi instrumentalist but he enjoyed the piano more. He couldn't drag it out of the house and frankly between the piano and guitar, the guitar had more of a luring sense of calmness in the breeze.

Amanda began singing, she didn't mind that her voice had to go a little louder because she had no mike.

The lyrics of In The Name Of Love  filled the air, every couple holding each other. They never really knew why they chose that song in particular considering single souls occupied majority of the show.

But it was nothing short of soothing, beautiful and just darn right what everyone needed. It was a calming ending to a beautiful day.

John now only wanted people to start leaving so he could get some sleep. In his mind the party took too long especially since he went to work and although it's just music it needed a lot of concentration. As people were saying goodbye, he felt his feet get heavy, his eyes drooping.

He even began giving fake smiles just for people to not feel offended, it wasn't their fault fatigue was overwhelming him.

Eventually John found himself walking upstairs, accepting it had been a long day.

"I don't like you staying in the same house if you're not married, and now that you're all better, you can finally see how things are, how things should be done." Amanda's mom said worriedly to her.

Amanda huffed. She knew what she was doing and didn't mind because John respected her, not only that but she couldn't imagine life alone again.

"Mom" she whined. "I'm happy here, John understands me and respects me. Believe me when I say I'm so much better here than at home." She reprehended. She wasn't one to argue with her mom, but she wanted something and she had to state it.

Her mom looked at her speechless. Amanda didn't know if that was a good or bag thing.

"Okay" she finally said.

"Okay?" Amanda asked back.

"Yes okay, if you really want to stay, you can." She smiled add Amanda jumped on her.

"Are you trying to break me" she said through her laughs.

"No mom, I'm just happy we won't fight about this." She genuinely smiled considering all the times they fought about petty things.

"Me too, though I'm going to want a ring on that finger soon." She said as she kissed her on the cheek.

"A girl can only wish" she returned the kiss. "Goodnight mom"

"Goodnight" she said walking out the door. She took a breath in, today was a long day and a shower would do the trick.

She lazily walked upstairs only to find John sleeping over the sheets. She moved closer and sat next to him. She slowly moved him trying to get his shirt over himself.

Eventually she succeeded, but now she couldn't help but trace his back. When did he even get time to get ripped? she thought to herself.

She also couldn't help watching him sleep, how his small hairs were stuck to his face because he was slightly sweating or how his lips pouted because of his position.

She could get used to this. Him being here every night. She wouldn't even mind if he would be the first one to sleep and she would be the one tucking him in.

She just wanted him.
