Chapter 29

IN THE COLLEGE:-

"Why are you so excited today?" Indu asked as she walked with Durga towards the auditorium. 

"Because we are going to get awards, yeah!" 

Indu chuckled.

"How do you know that we are going to get awarded?" she asked and looked at Thomas who walking with his group of male friends ahead.

 "Sahaya informed me. He only scored the things!" she said with a wide grin. 

"Oh great, so he is here, right?" she asked with a smile.

 "Oh my god, yeah, right, I did not think about that" she said to herself. 

Indu chuckled seeing her friend so happy after many days.

COLLEGE AUDITORIUM:-

They all sat down on their seats in the auditorium. Durga searched for Sahaya among the VIPs but he was not there. She frowned. After a short cultural program by the girls of her batch, the dean got up on the stage.

She kept on searching for him everywhere.

After some time, a man in white shirt and black trouser rushed into the auditorium and sat down in one of the empty seats of the VIPs. She stood up and tried to look. She smiled as she realized he was Sahaya. 

"What is it?" Indu asked and pulled her to make her sit. 

"I was checking if he is here or not?" she said as she focused on the dean's speech.

"So desperate!" Indu said and chuckled. 

Durga's cheeks turned pink.

After the speech, the dean called all the VIPs on the stage. Durga waited patiently with a bright smile on her face. Her smile widened as she saw Sahaya getting up on the stage. 

Sahaya seemed nervous and it was clear that he was not into the whole function thing. He kept on looking at the auditorium filled with the audience as if searching for someone.

"He is searching for you!" Indu informed followed by a girly giggle.

 Durga ignored her and simply watched him with a smile. They were seated on a row nearer to the stage.

After searching for a while, Sahaya finally spotted her and sent a wide smile at her and she waved her hand in a way that it was only visible to him. They kept on watching each other as if having a conversation with their eyes. After Sahaya's boss delivered his speech on the subject history, he announced the name of the winner of the small competition.

Durga was so engrossed in her eye to eye conversation with Sahaya that she did not realize her name was announced on the microphone.

Indu pushed her up. She looked around, everyone was watching her and clapping. She found Daniel and Thomas clapping loudly and cheering her. She smiled at them and hurried towards the stage with a blush. As she walked up the stairs her eyes were again fixed on him.

She could feel her heart beat quickening as she walked towards him and the other guest. 

She could not decide why she felt that "Was it because she was meeting him or was it because she was getting an award" she debated in her mind.

After receiving the award from the boss, she shook hands with every guest including Sahaya. She felt good feeling his touch again. She decided she wouldn't wash her hand for the day.

She stood there on the stage just beside Sahaya. Sahaya shifted closer to her, slowly, so that no one could understand. She spotted Thomas and Daniel hiding their faces and laughing at her and Sahaya. She curled her brows in frustration. When they looked at her, she sent her famous glare which made them stop their giggling.
