Chapter 15: The Love of My Life: The Cafeteria (Niall POV)

(Authers Note: This has nothing to do with the real Niall Horan's views on anything, these are simply just to keep the story going. Along with any other of the boys views either.)

~~~Niall POV~~~

We finally found it, The cafeteria! I could smell all the delicious aromas from down the hall. That's how I knew we were getting close. The lads were mad, I had once again lead them in the wrong direction.

"Never again." Zayn says.

"Got that right." Says Louis. I roll my eyes.

"C'mon boys... It's not that bad! We found it didn't we?"

"Yeah, after 20 minutes of wandering around, again! Almost breaking a stretcher, running into a team of doctors rushing a guy into the ER, along with running into other people, you even ran into a wall!" Says Harry. I hear silent snickers coming from Lou and Zayn. I shoot them a look and they stop and their eyes hit the ground as they go find a table. Harry stays and saves the table, he insists on not being that hungry and will share something with Louis.

They're serving grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, tomato soup, and 3 different kinds of jello with whipped cream on the top. It all looked so delightful. I had to take everything, I'm so hungry right now! Not even kidding. Yeah it's pretty pricey, but it's worth it. Getting a job would help... Nah! I can't hold a job... Getting an assigned lunch time?! Who do they think I am? I tried getting a job once, I worked at Nandos. They wouldn't let me eat any of the food... So I quit. As much as I love Nandos, I could never work there. The food was too tempting. I could never work with kids either. They irritate me. They always have runny noses, always need constant attention, and they most likely do not wash their hands after the toilet. Nasty! We grab our trays and start to walk back to the table, when we see a girl sitting next to Harry. She looked like she was making small talk. Harry looked bored out of his mind, as we got closer we could hear what they were talking about.

"So, who are you here visiting?" She said in a flirty voice. I could tell by the way she looked at him, the way most girls looked at him, she found him extremely attractive. The only girl I knew that hadn't looked at him like that was Justine. She was an amazing lady, really. She was a lovely girl to be around, but the kind you didn't want to get on the bad side of.

"I'm visiting my friend, she broke her leg." He said in a very uninterested voice.

"She?! This isn't a girlfriend is it?" She asked in a very loud tone. She sat up strait and she had her eyebrows crinkled.

"No." He said as she relaxed and went back to her original flirty eyes and crossed legged position, with her fingers tangled in her hair, biting her lower lip. She looked desperate. So did Harry...to get away from her. We knew Harry liked girls, but not this kind; The girls that approached him first. He liked to have the first move on girls, it made him feel in power, not the other way around.

"Do you attend a Uni?"

"Yeah."

"Which one?"

"That one." He says pointing to a direction out the window. She looks and sees nothing. Ha! He wanted to make her mad. This guy was brilliant.

"Which one?" She giggles.

"That one!" He says a bit louder. His jaw clenches, she doesn't notice.

"You're cute!" She says sliding her hand closer to his that was rested on his knee. I hear a scoff coming from Louis.

"We better go save him. Watch this." He says smiling mischievously. Zayn and I exchange looks, our eyes wide. Lou was always unpredictable... What could he possibly have brewing in that head of his? We watch him walk up behind the girl. He clears his throat loudly, she jumps, she clearly didn't see him coming. She looks up at him as he gives her a confused look. Lou's a good actor, almost too good.

"Excuse me," he says annoyed, "you're in my seat."

"You're seat? Harry, do you know him?" She says looking back at Harry. Louis puts his tray down on the table, stands in front of her and crosses his arms.

"Phht! Does he know me? Honey, don't be silly. I'm his boyfriend." This made my jaw drop, Zayn's too. This guy was crazy, Absolutely bonkers! She raises her eyebrows and looks back at Harry, we all know he's trying to hold in a laugh. Louis shakes his head.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did he not tell you he was gay? Aww, what a shame.... Well you'll just have to move along then. Bye-bye!" He says motioning her to go away. She flips her hair back off her shoulder, gets up and walks away. As Louis sits down we walk over and join them.

"That was... Uh..." I stuttered

"It was...." Zayn added. We were both lost for words. What really was that?

"Well, thanks." Says Harry, "she was annoying!" We laugh.

"No problem, I couldn't stand to see you being tortured any longer."

"But you gotta admit, that was really funny!" I say. They all chuckle and nod in agreement.

I pretty much devoured my supper. It was so good! I've never tasted hospital food so good. I was almost full! Almost... I absolutely love food. I don't know why... It's just so good! It makes me happy. We weren't sure if we should go back to the room or leave Liam and Justine alone for a while longer. We wouldn't want to interrupt anything....
