Chapter 24: Laser Tag

Louis takes off and hides. I stay by the base for a few seconds. I see a flash of blue go by, I should immediately and it hits him. I hear him yelp and duck down. There's a ramp near me that leads up to a large platform. I slowly walk up and check my surroundings. I realize the orange base is up there, I see a person crouching down. I hold down the trigger like Liam told me, and sure enough their life was drained in about 8 seconds. Then her lights blink on and off and a cheesy sound affect of something shutting down, representing a dead battery.

"Hey!" She yells.

"Orange player #3 has been terminated." The voice booms. She walks off the platform and waits in a smaller room where you go when you're out, it's a room with a window so you could still see the action but wouldn't distract the players. I crouch down, I hear footsteps but they run right past me. I hear the dying sound affect again.

"No!" A manly voice calls out.

"Orange player #1 has been terminated." The voice announces. This means the teams are even, but it also meant that there was a person only feet away from me and I didn't know who it was. I jump up and get ready to shoot, but they were gone.

"Blue player #1 has been terminated." I'm pretty sure that was Zayn. I walk over to the railing and I see someone from the green team. He was hidden so well that I almost didn't see him, but I aim and quickly shoot. It hits him, he jumps back and looks up. I press myself against the barrier so he couldn't see me.

"Orange player #4 has been terminated." Yes, one more orange to go. I stay crouched down for a couple seconds until I see a flash of yellow go by. A sent of strong cologne fills my nostrils, I knew it was Harry. I smile because I knew he didn't see me. I stand up and shoot him, he hears the pew sound of the gun and turns around sharply.

"Where did you come from?" He asks in sort of a whisper.

"I've been there for a while." I reply shooting him in the chest again.

"Stop that!" He lifts the laser and shoots, he just misses as I duck and roll out of sight.

"Green player #2 has been terminated." I guess the green team wasn't as good as Louis thought. I decided to move around to try and eliminate someone else. I couldn't find anyone, so it's either no one is up on the platform or they were all hiding really well.

"Yellow player #1 has been terminated." I let out a small laugh, Liam. I hear someone come up behind me, I flip around and it's Louis!

"I finally found you!" He whispers so no one could hear us.

"Louis! Have you seen any pink?"

"None, I've been hunting but I just can't seem to find..."

"Orange player #1 has been terminated. Orange team eliminated." The voice interrupts.

"Yes! One team down, 5 to go." I say.

"Blue player #2 has been terminated. Blue team eliminated." We both look at each other.

"Niall." We say in unison.

"Now 4 to go." He chuckles.

"Okay, so far so good..."

"Shhh, I hear someone coming." He says pressing a finger to my lips. I hear footsteps coming up the ramp, Louis peaks over the barrier, then comes back down and faces me.

"It's Will." He mouths to me, I nod. He points to Will, then the laser, then to me. He wants us to stand up at the same time and shoot. I smile and shake my head letting him know I understood. We get in position, then he holds up one finger, two, then on three we stand up at the same time, shoot and hold. His life drains in about half the time as it does if just one person shoots.
