 C A L I X A

I immediately left my mate once we arrived back at Wild Moon. I couldn't let my wolf surface in the slightest because she was filling my head with her thoughts of how we were going to jump his bones. I shivered at the thought of ever getting that close to a man and pushed my wolf to the back of my head, scolding her for such dirty thoughts.

"Alpha Dunamis," my Beta called, grabbing me from my thoughts and my wolf, "Would you like Gamma Mond to take Omega Tyto to Dr. Serce? He looks like he could pass out any step. I'll mind link him if that would be to your liking."

I nodded right away, internally yelling at myself for forgetting my mate was injured. I wasn't about to care for him but I couldn't let any wolf's injuries go unattended to. That would make me a terrible Alpha and I refused to be anything of the sorts.

"Beta Walker, please see to the other sacrifices." I ordered before making my leave.

I didn't need to wait for his answer because I knew he was a loyal Beta and would take care of the work I gave to him. He had never been disloyal even after I took down my brother. I knew they were close and I first had fears that he was conspiring against my reign but his mate assured me he was doing nothing of the sorts and his actions spoke louder than her words.

After dismissing my Beta, I went into my office to complete the business that the Silver Blood Pack's disobedience disrupted. I silently reminded myself to punish the Silver Bloods for disregarding my orders for a new sacrifice. They always fork over their weakest link and I have never kept a Silver Blood around very long before they died. I never did kill them, they simply were overwhelmed with the tasks that they were ordered to handle.

"Damn those Silver Blood mongrels." I cursed sitting in my desk, "I don't understand what they did to make Tyto forget who he was but it was not acceptable, especially with a mutt like Orion at the head of the pack."

I felt my anger rise in my throat and I punched into the nearest wall, growling lowly. The last time I left the Silver Bloods, Orion wasn't in the lead, someone much more capable was but I didn't want to confront the mongrel Alpha until I had evidence stacked against him and the mutts of Silver Blood. For now, though, I had to turn my attention to a different pack, Dawn Lupis. I had a feeling they were conspiring against me but my Beta insisted I wait until I had enough evidence and I reluctantly agreed to his wishes although I felt the urge to rip Clive and Salome's throats out. They were the Alpha and Beta of the pack and often said and did the wrong things to set me off. Luckily my Beta is the voice of reason and keeps my temper down quite a bit.

I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down and sat down in my desk chair. As I thought about my situation, a simple solution came to my mind. Nightfall Grimm. They were a vicious pack and were second to none when it came to details on others, especially pathetic packs like Dawn Lupis. So far they were very unsuccessful when it came to penetrating my walls and I had several executed in the past for trying to spy but they soon realized they made a mistake trying to get information about Wild Moon.

I finally decided to use their services, although I despised their crazy Alpha. His name was Alder Skore and he was a bit deranged with his practice. Whenever I visited him in the past, his Beta would often have to interrupt him torturing some prisoner. That was what he lived for, to hear the screams of terror from his victim and that was why I trusted him with the downfall of Dawn Lupis.

"Alder Skore," I greeted grimly as I dialed his number.

There was heavy breathing on the other end before he replied, "My dear Queen Calixa. Finally coming to your senses and using me to destroy, eh? I'll be happy to do your bidding my Queen."
