I watched for Tyto's reaction as I told him his father was alive. I knew he would be shocked, after all, he thought his father was dead and buried. The truth was his father did die, it just so happens that someone wanted him back and they did just that. He might not be in the same condition as he was before he died, but he is very much alive and breathing. His heart is just not beating.

"How!?" he snarled, taking a step towards me.

I looked back and heard a shuffle of movements at the door. Ignoring Tyto's question, I called out to the eavesdroppers, "You may come in and listen if you want. I have no secrets to keep."

At that, my mate and the Luna of Silver Blood stepped into the room. I surge of jealousy rushed through me but I calmed myself and stared at the two of them. I knew my mate was loyal, without a doubt. I learned this through my time as a rogue shewolf. 

My father often spoke of the Alphas that he admired for their loyalty and bravery. Ryder and his sister were often a topic of conversation, along with the Nightfall Grimm Alpha, Alder Skore. When my father told stories of the Alphas, I had always secretly wanted to meet them. Now I'm Ryder's mate and I can't help but wonder where his sister is. I never heard much about her, except the fact that she was called the Queen of Wolves and still is. My father talked highly of her and her family. The only Alphas that we never spoke of were the scoundrels of Silver Blood, Raven Shadow, and Dawn Lupis.

That's why I hated that Alistair was alive. As long as he was alive, the packs would never be truly free. So for that reason alone, I knew I had to talk with Tyto Aitan. If the rumors were true, that he killed his father in the past, he wouldn't let his father live once he tracked him down.

I glanced over at the angry Alpha male and smirked, trying to egg him on, "Someone wanted him alive and they made it happen quite easily. In fact, I think he's in no-man's land right as we speak."

If I could get him angry enough, he might be rash and hunt down his formerly deceased father. I know that could end badly for either side but I needed Alistair dead as soon as physically possible.

"RIGHT NOW!?" he roared, looking like he was about to shift.

Before he could shift and do something he might regret, Calixa put her hand on his shoulder, "Calm down this instant! Think before you go and hunt down a tale that may get you killed!"

The Silver Blood Alpha took several deep breaths and contained his wolf. I gave a steely look to the Luna and glance at my mate who was watching with an impassive look on his face.

"Urza," Ryder said, his voice music to my ears, "I suggest you don't try to anger our guest. Tyto is a good friend and ally of mine."

I shot Tyto a look a surprise. He and Ryder were friends? I knew that the Silver Blood Alpha came to talk with Ryder but I had no idea they considered each other friends. That certainly was a new development.

I smiled sheepishly, "Sorry Ryder... I didn't mean to make him that angry. I just wanted to let him know that his father was out there roaming the rogue territory."

A flash of realization flashed in Ryder's eyes before he spoke again, "Did you intend to send him after his father because you fear for your family's life? If you would like, I can arrange for them to stay inside Wild Moon territory. Only if your father accepts my terms."

My eyes lit up, "Of course! I'm sorry I was foolish and tried to send Tyto after Alistair. I just... wanted to make sure Alesky and my father are okay while that monster is roaming around..."

Tyto let out a few growls at the mention of his father and Calixa elbowed him roughly before whispering in a rough tone, "Behave Tyto, that is Ryder's mate you are growling at."

He huffed and looked at Ryder, "Maybe you should formally introduce us to your mate Ryder, before I lose my temper and tear down half the forest."

Ryder chuckled, "Yes, of course. Tyto, this is Urza Nabarro, the daughter of the Rogue Commander and my future Luna. Urza, this is Tyto Aitan, Alpha of Silver Blood and mate of my sister. I assume you have already met the little spitfire herself seeing as you had a meal together."

I turned and stared at the Luna of Silver Blood in shock, "You're the famous Queen of Wolves!?"

She nodded, "Yes, I am sorry I kept my relation to Ryder a secret but I wanted to make sure you were not going to be kind to me simply because of my relation to him and my status as 'Queen of Wolves'."

I looked at her curiously as she spoke. When she said Queen of Wolves, she seemed slightly irritated at the title and that made me wonder if she actually liked being called the Queen.

I decided to voice my thoughts, the curious part of my nature getting the best of me, "Calixa, do you like being called the Queen? It seems that it irritates you."

The beautiful shewolf froze, as if she'd been caught doing something worth being punished, and answered, "I do not mind it but I would prefer being called Alpha female or Luna above being a Queen when I am not truly fitting of the title."

"You deserve that title and much more," Ryder argued, staring at his sister with an intense gaze.

Tyto nodded his head in agreement, "If anyone is fitting of being a Queen it is you my dear mate."

She scoffed, "That is your opinion. I have a different view of where I would be most fitting. And that is as the Alpha of a pack."

"But you are a Luna," I disputed, "You are of the same ranking as your mate and a leader of your pack. Where I come from, the commander is above all, even his mate. I'm sure that Tyto is doing his best to make you feel like a powerful Alpha female in all its rights."

Calixa shrugged her shoulders but said nothing, obviously wanting to stop talking about the situation. I frowned at her for a moment. She was the only she wolf I knew of that wanted her own pack to rule. Deep in my mind I wanted her to be a leader on her own but I knew that she would just have to come to terms with being an Alpha female with her mate. Either way, the pack would have no less respect for her.

"Alright," Ryder said, breaking the tension, "Would you all like it if we went for a run with our wolves? I know for a fact that most of us haven't let them out in a while."

I nodded hastily, excited to let my energetic wolf on the loose. As a rogue, my wolf was even more wild than most and hated to be trapped inside me for a long period of time. When I stayed with my father and the rogue army, I had all the time in the world to run and play with my wolf, Adellia.

The Silver Blood Alpha and Luna nodded their heads and we all wordlessly walked to the front of the pack house to shift.

"While we are out there," Ryder began, once Tyto and Calixa exited the room, "We can visit your father and brother to ask them to move closer to us."

I smiled brightly at him, "I'd love that."

With that said, we walked outside. Shifting to release the wild part in all of us.
