After defeating the witch, Aleana, and heading back to the former council building, Calixa and I quickly held our coronation as the new King and Queen of wolves. Not everyone was in favor of our rule but a majority of the wolves followed without complaint. Although we were new to being King and Queen, we changed many of the old council rules for the better. For instance, now omegas were to be treated better in packs where they formerly were treated as slaves and same-sex mates were not to be shunned by homophobic packs.

Being King and Queen was not an easy task but together Calixa and I could do anything. Not long after the coronation, Calixa and I finally were able to be together and do things normal mates do from the moment they meet...

"What are you writing?"

"Oh uh, hello Calixa, I'm just writing up a letter for myself. I find that I like to read what I've written in the past and this will be a story that we can tell our grandchildren." I replied, getting to my feet and pulling her into my embrace.

She suppressed a smile and fidgeted in my arms, still not quite used to my affection, "I see... Well, can you stop now while I show you something?"

I smiled and nodded, "Let's go."

Without another word, Calixa led me through our new home to a room I wasn't familiar with.

"What's this?" I asked, glancing around the room with furniture covered in white sheets.

She pulled me the the item in the middle of the room and pulled the sheet off revealing a cradle, "This is the room of our future child, Tyto. Urza and Graceia thought it would be a good idea for us to be prepared and I thought I'd show it to you now."

I looked at the cradle and tears gathered in my eyes, "This is wonderful Calixa." Then I pulled her close to me and looked into her eyes, taking in her beauty and memorizing all of her features.

"I'm glad you think so," she whispered, clearly beginning to be embarrassed.

Her next words took me by surprise though.

"Now shut up and kiss me."

And I did.

It was the kind of kiss that made you never want to let go. The kind of kiss that felt like water after days of drought. The kind of kiss that made love feel alive.

I couldn't have been more happy than in that moment. My mate in my arms in the room for our future child.

The journey to this moment was long and difficult but it was worth it. Although some wolves live without hearts, I'm proud to hear the sound of my mate's after so long.

A/N: It's over. It's finally over people, and I am sincerely sorry for the long wait and if the ending is too short for your liking. To be honest I was gonna write more scenes between Calixa and Tyto in the epilogue but I don't have much time so I decided I should at least give you guys this much. Anyways, thanks for sticking with me through this long and very rocky journey to the end of my book and I hope you all forgive me for the poor grammar, plot, and update schedule! I hope to write another book in the future and I actually have a few drafts written up with at least ten chapters but I won't be posting them until I feel they are good stories.

Anywho! I am grateful to all those who actually read to this point and gave my book a chance even though it isn't the best book! Thank you all so much!
