I felt frustrated after the dinner with Calixa and went to be very upset that I couldn't get through to her. She was a stubborn she wolf, I had to give her that. I decided not to bother with her for the rest of the night and get some sleep. Tomorrow I would talk to someone who I know has experience with mates.

I awoke the next morning feeling refreshed and got ready for my meeting. I just hoped she knew how to help with Calixa. It also would give me some time to catch up with her since I'd been gone, or dare I say brainwashed, for so long.

Once I arrived at my destination, I casually knocked on the door and waited a moment before it swung open.

"My baby!" she cooed, wrapping me in her familiar embrace.

I chuckled and hugged her in return, "Yes mother, it's me. I wanted to spend some time with you and ask for some advice."

"Of course my dear! Please come in, I'll make you some tea while you ask anything you want."

I internally snorted at her behavior but I allowed her to smother me seeing as I was out of her life for who knows how long. Eventually she let me go and I took a seat at the dinning room table, waiting for her to return with the tea.

"So Tyto, what is it that you wanted to ask?" she chimed, walking in with to steaming mugs of tea in her hands. 

I took the mug from her and sipped the hot liquid before asking, "How do I get my mate to fall for me?"

I looked at her and for a moment I thought I saw amusement flash through her eyes before she replied, "Oh sweetie, she already loves you. No mate can resist the pull for that long, it's just a matter of time before she gives in. I mean you could give her a little push. I suggest being shirtless as much as possible around her, maybe even naked."

"Mother!" I exclaimed, spitting out some of my tea, "I cannot just waltz up to her in my birthday suit and expect her to just accept me."

"That's what your father did and I couldn't resist," she countered, starting to daydream.

I scrunched my nose, "I did not need to hear that, especially about you and my father..."

"Oh suck it up Alpha, that's the nature of things." she laughed, "And besides, I want grandbabies as soon as possible. Yana hasn't found her mate yet so I need you to step up to the plate."

"I think it's a bit too soon for pups." I replied quickly, not wanting to even think about that part of my future yet.

She snorted, "Your father and I had you and Warren at least a year after he marked me so I expect no less from you."

I could hear the teasing part of her tone but I could tell she was serious about having grand pups, "Not yet mom, I can't pressure Calixa into having pups if she doesn't even want me."

"Oh hush, she wants you. I mean have you seen the way she glares at the females who pine after you. At the pack meeting her face was locked in a perpetual frown as she listened to the females ogle you." she explained, smirking slightly as she spoke.

My wolf instantly perked up at this news and I felt slightly more confident about seducing my mate, "Alright, if you say so. Now what else should I do?"

She paused for a moment before responding, "Well you are already doing a great job son. Show you are a strong male and be dominant, that turns females on-"

I groaned and she glared at me before continuing.

"And she'll be jealous if females see you without your shirt on since that is what belongs to her. I've also noticed that you brush up against her every once in awhile. Keep that up and soon she'll start to want to touch you more."

I hesitated before replying, "Alright, I'll try. I hope you're right and this works."

"Mother knows best sweetie and I have have experience with these sorts of things," she said nonchalantly.

"Oh not this again. Please don't talk about you and my father, it makes me uncomfortable," I pleaded.

She laughed lightly, "Tyto, that's why I do it. Anyways, why don't you head back to your house and start working on how to seduce Calixa. I guarantee you that you'll have her in your arms soon."

I nodded and walked out the door. Time to put the plan into action.
