"So when do you get your mac?" Erin asks as we both lay sprawled out on her bed.

"Monday" I say excitedly.

"Ok cool, so how about you do the script and information part and I'll do the iMovie bit, seeing as I already have my mac" Erin explains as we assign rolls for the history assignment.

"Sounds good" I nod in agreement.

"Well thats part A done, how about we meet up at the library to finish off part B next week?"

"Sure, I'll text you" I smile as I look over the notes, ticking off what we have done so far.

"I saw you and Cody on the beach this morning"

"W-what?" I ask looking from my paper "How?"

She gets up and leaves her bedroom. I follow her down the hall, towards her front door and she nods to the kitchen window.

I eye her suspiciously and look out the window. I gasp. Since her house is on the corner of the road, its on a diagonal angle facing the beach and you can just see Cody's house.

"Great I have a stalker" I sigh throwing my arms in the air.

"So you and Cody eh?" She asks waggling her eyebrows reaching for a cupboard.

"Noooooo" I say trying to suppress my blush "W-we're friends, thats all"

"W-we're friends, thats all" She mimics me dramatically. "Your so blind"

"How so?" I ask innocently.

"Its obvious that he likes you"

"Yeah . . . as a friends, thats all"

"Pfffttt"

"Don't 'Pfffffttt' Me"

"Fine but if you two start going out your gonna have to deal with my 'I told you so' and get a hot Hawaiian guy on a plane asap"

"Fine" I laugh trying to shut her up "But don't be too disappointed I win"

"So its a competition aye?"

"Course" I smirk teasingly. We both giggle as Erin pulls out a packet of Tim Tams . . . each out of the cupboard.

"I can't believe you've never had a Tim Tam before!"

"Neither can I" And its true because they are de-lic-ious.

"There are heaps of flavours, you have to come Coles shopping with mum and I next time your over" She giggles.

Erin then poured me a glass of milk and we sat out on her front balcony, where we watched the waves roll in and off shore. The smell of the ocean was gorgeous.

We talked more, and got to know each other better if it were possible, as I ate my last Tim Tam I sighed. I was going to love Australia and call it home, the people were great and I loved the atmosphere, especially the beach life.

"Do you wanna go to the pool?" I looked up from the book I was reading for our assignment and stared dumbly at Erin as a smile played on her lips.

"Why the pool? The beach is right here." I asked, once I realised what she had said. I didn't understand why she would want to go to the pool if we could just go to the beach and its was even a lot closer.

"I like a change from salt water" Erin shrugged. I rolled my eyes, as I watched her open her closet and fish for a bikini.

"You have a costume?" Erin asked, she turned from the now messy closet and smiled.
