Chapter 36

- - - Kate's P.O.V - - -

“Kate!...Kate wake up!” My mum said shaking me.

“Huh?! Whats going on?” I turned and looked at the time and it read 9am

I tried to re focus on the room until I realised what day it was today “Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit” I said chucking any clothes I could find.

“Cody left you this” she said handing me a card and a little jewelry box.

I stood there wide eyed for a moment realising what had just happened...he was here and he didn’t say goodbye?! He didn’t wake me!?

“Thanks” I muttered putting it down on my bedside table refusing eye contact with her. I took the house keys I ran as fast as my legs could carry me to Cody’s house.

Once there I looked around I saw Jen sitting outside on their front porch, head in hands.

Shit no no no no NO!

“Whats wrong?” I asked as I wrapped my arms around her into a hug trying my best to comfort her.

“T-here g-gone” She stammered while wiping her eyes.

“What?” I replied shocked.

“T-t-hey just left for the airport”

“How long ago?” I replied.

“5, 10 minutes maybe”

I sat there for a minute or two maybe thinking if it was right to leave her but I had to. 

“Thanks, I’ll see you later Jen ok?” I told her releasing her from my hug, running back to my house.

“MUM!?... DAD?!” I yelled as I flung the door open.

“Whats wrong?” My mum asked as she came running halfway down the stairs.

“Airport NOW!” I replied

“Ok let me just fix up my face”

“No now!” I demanded, there was no way on this Earth I was missing my boyfriends plane leave, uh-UH sorry Cody but your not leaving me that easily.

“Kate it’ll take two seconds go hop in the car i’ll meet you in a second”

I didn’t say anything more, grabbed our car keys and sprinted to the car. Once inside in the passengers seat I impatiently drummed my fingers on the seat.

5 maybe minutes later I honked the horn and 3 minutes later she came rushing to the car.
